August 15, 201016 yr On Friday, St. Louis Cardinal pitcher, Chris Carpenter was asked by an Associated Press journalist to share his thoughts on the fine he was handed by the commissioner's office for Tuesday nights, now infamous, donnybrook in Cincinnati. Proving Brandon Phillips' comments correct for at least one Cardinal player, instead of addressing the question he took the opportunity to whine more about Reds pitcher, Johnny Cueto. Carpenter says, "If you did that on the street, he would end up being…That’s serious stuff.” Really Chrissy? Did you learn this growing up on the tough streets of Exeter, New Hampshire? Playing ball in a small town where the median family income is over $63 thousand? Wow, Chrissy, you must've had a rough childhood. You should share those experiences with the world and take some of your down time to write songs for a gangsta rap band. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/436066-chris-carpenter-is-a-street-fightin-whiney-little-girl
August 15, 201016 yr Red fans are saying Carp won't let it go well that may be the pot calling the kettle black.
August 15, 201016 yr Considering the only time Reds fans even bring it up is when Carpenter brings it up, I'd say you're wrong.
August 15, 201016 yr Considering the only time Reds fans even bring it up is when Carpenter brings it up, I'd say you're wrong. Only time brings it up is when the media keeps questioning about it. Sounds about like the same thing to me.
August 15, 201016 yr The difference between Reds fans, as well as journalist and Chris Carpenter is we are suppose to talk about it. We are fans, we are suppose to talk about things that involve our team. Journalists are supposed to right stories to get fans to talk about their teams. Carpenter is suppose to act "professional", as he would say, and move on. That's the difference sweet 16.
August 15, 201016 yr Only time brings it up is when the media keeps questioning about it. Sounds about like the same thing to me. Once again, if Carpenter wanted to stop talking about it he could have a long time ago. It's simple. "Next Question" "No Comment" As long as the Media keeps getting responses out of him about it, they'll keep asking. You don't see the Reds still being quoted about it. Because they didn't continue to talk about it for 3-4 days after it occured.
August 15, 201016 yr Author Only time brings it up is when the media keeps questioning about it. Sounds about like the same thing to me. Read the opening of the article. He was asked about the fine and went right back to Cueto... :sssh:

I said several times in the other thread that it is time for Carp to be quiet about it and let it be.. I agree with you guys but you all keep harping on it as well. So to me you are not much better than him on the situation. I know that he is the player and is in the spotlight and we are just on a discussion board. But it is the pot calling the kettle black.
August 15, 201016 yr Read the opening of the article. He was asked about the fine and went right back to Cueto... :sssh: Also written by a Red's writer so you really don't know what all the questions were in the interview.
August 15, 201016 yr We'll probably talk about it as long as the Cardinal fans will talk about BP in St. Louis, and I imagine that being a long time lol. At the end of the day, we just need football to really get going and there will be more to talk about lol. What if I'm a silver pot? lol
