Ryle will have a very good football team with what they have returnig. There are a few D1 players at Ryle and they deserve a look. As for Dixie the young man Pike will be very tough to bring down in the open field. He will only get better as the season goes on as their QB. Should be a very good scrimmage to watch. Remember everyone these players are just now starting to hit and will be the first time they hit someone else besides their own players. Everyone deserves a break. JD

Tristatefootball.com just came out with its preseason rankings and DH Jr. Zeke Pike was named 1st team best athlete. It'll be interesting to see if he is able to progress as a QB or will end up being a TE or O-lineman in college. As for the scrimmage, I think Ryle will likely take this one by a couple of scores.

I am getting ready to head to Dixie for this scrimmage I will have a full update when I get home tonight.

Wow Zeke Pike is the real deal i was very impressed he threw for probaly 200 yards and had a couple runs and he blocked 2 passes on D. Ryle did not look very good at all Elliot had 2 fumbles and 2 TDs. Ryles defense needs alot of work.

Ryle really shot themselves in the foot, fumbling on their first two offensive possessions. I left early but Elliott did have two TDs over 60 yards. Pike is huge and throws a nice ball. Dixie seems to have some nice skill players, #15 being his favorite target and #23 can really make plays in the open field. I have a feeling the Red Colonels will be the #2 seed in their district.

Is anyone surprised Pike is playing both ways? After all, we are talking about Dixie's coaching staff. You know what every team is going to do, they are going to really get after Pike on D. At the least it will hurt his offensive performance and at worst the grind could be too much to make it through the entire season. Pike is a great talent but he has the wrong handlers.

I'm always shocked whn schools put their starting QB on both sides of the ball. It's incredibly stupid to have you QB play a down lineman, JMO.
