August 11, 201016 yr 4 runs is a lot to make up against Wainwright...gotta get to the bullpen, immediately.
August 11, 201016 yr Never dreamed this series would turn out the way it is looking. We need a comeback!
August 11, 201016 yr 4 runs is a lot to make up against Wainwright...gotta get to the bullpen, immediately. 4 runs is not possible to make up against Wainwright.
August 11, 201016 yr Cards are just better. I love my Reds and will enjoy the heck out of this season, but the suckers are just better.
August 11, 201016 yr This team has wilted like a dead flower under the pressure this series...While there is still a ton of ball left to be played, this is not a good way to enter the stretch run. Need to take 2 of 3 from the Fish this weekend before heading west.
August 11, 201016 yr Cards are just better. I love my Reds and will enjoy the heck out of this season, but the suckers are just better. It's true. I had to admit it too, but I'm a realist.
August 11, 201016 yr Never dreamed this series would turn out the way it is looking. We need a comeback! Not even dreamed? Why not? I certainly didn't think it was exactly a long shot. The Reds have trash talked; the Cards have played team baseball. Pretty logical ending if you ask me. The only game I though we had a decent shot in was game two.
August 11, 201016 yr Pitching has been awful. Hitting atrocious. Defense embarrassing. Someone forgot to tell the Reds they had baseball to play these past 3 days.
August 11, 201016 yr It's true. I had to admit it too, but I'm a realist. I love my team, but we just don't match up well with them in a short series. In 10 three-games series, the Cards will win 7 or 8 of them.
August 11, 201016 yr There was some talk surrounding Leake starting the 1st game of this series, and some suggested that the rotation should have been changed to lineup the Reds ace against Carpenter. I'm just curious, who is the ace for the Reds?
August 11, 201016 yr I love my team, but we just don't match up well with them in a short series. In 10 three-games series, the Cards will win 7 or 8 of them. Reds were 5-7 against the Cardinals coming into this series. Yes, winning in August in a division race is a lot tougher than May, but it's not like the Cardinals are light years better. Reds have just had a tough series and it's been magnified with all the BP talk and the pressure to make a statement going into September.
