Rain delay. Airplane races again. To heck with Paul Bonhomme and his striped plane with smoke out of the rear of the plane. I would rather watch Australian Rules Football (unless they add some Mitsubishi A6M Zero Fighters and pilots with attitude).

Okay yes I am watching the game but contrary to what most of you think I will NOT criticize every AB by Janish. I will give him a chance to get his feet grounded since he hasn't played much. I can't , however guarantee you how long I can watch him in the 2 hole without being critical.

Don't understand why the Reds hitters do that....Cairo walks on 4 pitches, none of which are very close, and of course Rolen comes up and hacks into a DP on the very 1st pitch....:idunno:

Stros just hung a five spot on Jaime Garcia in the 2nd....5-1 Astros...

The way they try to explain it to us is that they figure that after a 4 pitch walk that the pitcher is trying to throw a strike and expect a fastball. I guess it makes sense but I don't always buy it. Don't you think the pitcher is playing guessing games with the batter as well?

I don't care if the whole stadium knows he's throwing a fastball. When a pitcher misses like that on 4 straight, I don't care who's up, you should be taking until he throws a strike.

Wow, what kind of crap effort was that by Rolen?

How do you not give him an error on that?

And just like that, Rolen gives the Pirates a 2-0 lead.

I agree whole heartedly. That's what I was always taught, make him throw a strike.

Hometown scoring, give the batter a hit and the pitcher gets an earned run.

Should have been out of the inning after 3 batters...Thanks to Rolen, it's a 6-0 blowout....

So the Pirates are capable of scoring runs, now we know.

I'm not really sure which is scarier, losing 100 plus games or the fact that this Pirates team could end up with 60 wins.
