Track the Reds (2nd Half, Week 3)

Featured Replies

The 8th inning is where the game was lost. Not hitting for Bruce against a tough lefty when you have to have contact was crazy.

Cordero was bad, but he got squeezed on a few pitches. No excuse for ball 4 to Cabrera though.

They have 3 outfielders that I don't trust one way or another right now. Hopefully there's a trade that can help or Heisey, Dickerson, or Nix can help.

I can't help but think Dusty is outclassed in a ton of games.

Not better by any stretch. Just have the Reds number late...

Agreed. Is the advantage Cox?

Rats jumping off the Titanic. Always brings some comedy after every loss...

Its irrelevant because it only shows how many times he hit safely. Again, we didnt need him to hit safely. Just making good contact would have given Rolen a chance to score. A safe hit would have just been a bonus. The odds were high that Bruce was going to be a K victim. Why not go with a less likely K victim?

Its also irrelevant b/c they should have used Cairo. I totally agree with you though.

I never said anything about hitting safely?:idunno: Plus I said he should have pinch hit for him just stating what Heisey's numbers were.

Cancel the season with each loss...

Agreed. We're not talking about the Astros having their number. This is a very good team - AGAIN.

If the Reds can get something more out of RF and CF they're going to be a tough out for anyone.

Gotcha. Came in late and saw your post about his .163 average and thought you were saying he shouldn't have been brought in. That'll teach me.

I'll post something positive amongst all the negativity...Votto is playing amazing right now. Hope he can keep it up. Rolen had a good game as well, with two doubles.

Well I didn't exactly say he should have but I don't she why he wouldn't have if he was bringing in Heisey next inning. I guess he wanted to use him for the double switch?

At this point Votto has to be the front runner for MVP right?

its a very small group in the conversation and his name has to be there.

How about the Braves doing it with two locally produced kids? Nice ball being played in the ATL. Getting a stud catcher and a soon-to-be dominant player who is only 20 is nice. Cuts down on the scouting budget.
