And don't try and put words in my mouth saying I'm "uncomfortable with the answer." Am I upset that this made the news? Yes. I love Notre Dame, it's in my blood. Do I think those involved are tarnishing the ND name? No. They got caught doing something 90% of the students do. But to say it will take them off a "pedestal of high moral character"? You can't be serious. Do you really think people care these kids got caught drinking at a party? Like Cats said, I could name a million things worse they could be doing, just look at a SEC school. The better question is: Is it fair to judge these kids and their character off this event? That is completely unfair.

July 21, 201016 yr I completely disagree. The only difference between these boys and the boys on other teams is these boys got caught. Some get caught, some don't. Some get into drunken bar fights, some don't. some die, some don't. The program should be preaching for them to stay clear of it as long as they are representing their University!
July 23, 201016 yr The weird part is that it's an Irish Catholic school. They never drink... LOL. It happens people as many have stated kids will be kids, to put this on the Coach though is wrong. I don't like BK for the way he left UC but he is a coach not a babysitter. His job is to win football games, which he's pretty good at. Once those kids leave the facilities they are on there own. They make their own decisions and mistakes, Kelly can't control that aspect of their life. What these players and college students did is normal for most, it isn't the end of the world. They'll get their punishment and move on.
