What the resolution did was ask the tea part to distance itself and condemn the racist voices that are sometimes associated with the movement. I would start with Mark Williams. Will the NAACP condemn the racist voices that are sometimes associated with their movement? As I posted in another thread, Andrew Breitbart claims to have tapes of racism coming from the NAACP.

July 17, 201016 yr Where are these tapes? I have a feeling we'll be hearing them soon. I can't produce them as of yet since I don't think Breitbart has released them. Could he be lying? Sure, we'll have to wait to see. Do you find it so hard to believe that some of the members of the NAACP are racist?

I don't find it hard to believe that there aren't racist members of pretty much any group out there. I detest people that say "I have something to show you that is HUGE....but I'm not going to show you just yet...just believe me!" and that is exactly what is going on here. I say to him, "show it or shut up." That goes for all of those that use that tactic, whether it be politics, sports, or anything else.

I'm referring to the specific comment. And if you don't believe there are people who are racist in the NAACP you're fooling yourself. Just like there are people in the Tea Party who are racist. It goes both ways, and you'd be hard pressed to find a large organization that doesn't have some people with racist ideas. However, I've not heard anything about Tea Party members trying to infiltrate the NAACP or any other organization to try to make them look bad.
July 18, 201016 yr I didn't say anything about Breitbart. I'm referring to the specific comment. You quoted the whole post, so it's hard to tell, as half of the quoted comment was about him. Also, nothing about acemona's comment leads me to believe that he feels as though the NAACP is without members that are racist. Indeed, his exact comment was that he felt that they WOULD speak out against members of their own organization that were "racist voices." And if you don't believe there are people who are racist in the NAACP you're fooling yourself. Just like there are people in the Tea Party who are racist. It goes both ways, and you'd be hard pressed to find a large organization that doesn't have some people with racist ideas. Please see my comments on this very issue in the ThinkProgress thread. I've had the same questions/comments addressed to me today. Why is everyone so short-fused today? However, I've not heard anything about Tea Party members trying to infiltrate the NAACP or any other organization to try to make them look bad. I don't understand this comment at all. It would seems as though you are implying that there is evidence of the NAACP infiltrating the Tea Party to try to make them look bad. If that is the case, can you please provide those examples? If not, can you clarify? Thanks ahead of time.
