I understand. I was just pointing out that it was religious, not Christian, as so many seem to want us to be a Christian nation or get offended if someone says that we aren't, such as in the letter from post #1.

When a comparsion is made to Hitler's Nazi regime, it is often done in relation to the totalitarian government he created. Not the death camps he created or the war he started. Some people just cannot seem to believe our freedoms can be lost through our own government. That is how the German people gave up their freedoms, through a government action called the Enabling Act.

Once again-right on the money bballfamily.

Exactly why I don't come in here very often. I throw a little socialist barb out there, and someone tags it with Nazi Germany. No fun in here at all:ohbrother:

It was more fun when you were sniping on the sidelines during the Bush days. Sorry that party is way over. From the number it looks like you like to post alot. (That is the point of a forum-to communicate ideas.)

Religious or Christian?

His quote simply said religious.

Exactly my point. Adams' words go against what the writer in the original post said and support President Obama's claim. We are NOT a Christian nation. We are one of many religions. I don't find my Christian beliefs threatened by that.

:thumb: Personally, my faith is bigger than what a government espouses. (even my government)

Especially my government
