I think a factor to consider is that LCC has cougar-rama! Kidding one thing to consider is they do have a new head coach and even though he has been there it's still a change.

Letcher won the district last year and returns just about everyone-so I don't see how Harlan County could be favored.

 

Three way tie and the battle to go the region was won by a whopping 1 point at Letcher Central. Harlan County returns a lot as well.

 

Harlan County beat Letcher Central at their place the first time and like I said a 1 point victory is all that seperated them in the 2nd round.

What do youy mean by "been there"? No disrespect, but the new coach has not coached in many big games.

We hear from the Rockastle lineman camp that our Bears are kicking some major butt and taking names!!! Awesome job Bears - Keep it up!

QB Jordy Brewer will be a Jr. this year and I think he is ready to go. I can't think of anybody who has worked any harder than this kid to improve his game. He's built a lot of muscle and Coach Eddie Creech has worked with him continuously. He's been patient and kept working hard. He should have a break out season this year and be a leader for the Black Bear offense. Also, Jr. OL Mike Smith is a HUGE kid and should be clearing a big path for the Black Bear backfield.

 

Senior DE/TE Jordan Calton will wreak havok on opposing teams offenses. Expect another HUGE season from him along with OL/DL Sr. Brian Owens and DL/FB Jeremiah Eldridge.

RB Jr. Marcus McMillian-lightning

RB Jr. Cody Taylor-thunder

WR/DB Sr. Dylon Smith who returns this season after an injury from last season will make a HUGE difference. He has speed, real speed! We hope everybody has forgotten about him.

 

Sophmores LB/FB Tucker Lewis, DB/QB Austin Maggard, LB/RB Jake Middleton each started last year as Freshmen and are stronger and faster than last season.

 

Could be a couple of incoming Freshmen turn some heads this year. That bunch of Freshmen are full of talent and enthusiasm.

I believe this will be the Bears best season. They have a very solid RB in Cody Taylor and a huge O-Line. They will also have maybe the most dangerous player in the region (Smith RB/WR/DB). Look for a bunch of kicks to go away from him or it could be 6.
