June 9, 201016 yr I'm glad they are releasing a new phone. I have an older unlocked 2g iphone i bought 2 years ago that is getting kind of old, that means everyone is going to be selling their 3g and 3gs for really cheap.
June 9, 201016 yr For those of you needing an unlocked iPhone, make sure the phone you buy doesn't have 3.1.3 firmware on it, it cannot be unlocked (as of now). Unless it is a 2g phone, then it doesn't matter those can be unlocked on any firmware.

June 10, 201016 yr I just read an article that said that AT&T is so desperate to keep customers that you can call customer service and as long as you are a good standing customer and are at least 6 months into your current contract that they will more than likely accelerate your eligibility so customers can upgrade to the upcoming Iphone 4.
June 10, 201016 yr That's not what I'm saying...I'm saying if the phone stops working or breaks or something like that at any point, not necessarily from "unlocking", they won't do any type of troubleshooting. They'll just say, "sorry about your luck." Plenty of ways around this.

June 10, 201016 yr This is what i've seen floating around. Pretty much if your contract is up before Jan. 1st you will get the upgrade price, so basically they are giving a 6 month grace period.
