June 11, 201016 yr I guess I don't get this fascination with the All-Star game voting....I mean, who cares who starts the game? The all-star game is virtually meaningless anyways, and most teams would prefer their players not play and use the three day break as a rest anyways. I would disagree with you had this been about 30 years ago. Today you are correct.
June 11, 201016 yr I voted my max, but like said earlier Reds have zero chance of starting since Barry and Jr. left. I still voted for Griff this year haha, he can come out of retirement to play in his last All Star game.

June 11, 201016 yr Mom just called...got tickets to the game tonight from her boss, five rows behind the Reds dugout. Bought tickets for tomorrow's game too with a group of guys, should be an interesting day if USA pulls out a win since we will all be down at Brothers cheering on the boys.

I've yet to hear a good reason, why it matters if the Reds or any other team for that matter have any starters...
June 11, 201016 yr I click two buttons to vote. Total of two seconds if you are on a somewhat fast computer. I just vote to support the team I like. For the Reds to get some national recognition. I guess I could go the negative way and vote for all of division rivals in hopes they would have to play and be worn out and/or get hurt in the all star game. But I never played sports that way or want sports to be that way. I love the Reds so why wouldn't I want them to get the recognition of being an All Star in MLB?

June 11, 201016 yr Homer Bailey is still sore from his rehab start and will not start Sunday for the Reds, manager Dusty Baker said in his pre-game media session today. That means Sam LeCure will start Sunday against Kansas City. Right-hander Bailey (DL, shoulder inflammation) said he is somewhat troubled that his shoulder has not come around, after a rehab start Tuesday for Triple A-Louisville. Bailey allowed five runs in 4.1 innings. Bailey threw off flat ground a couple days ago and was to throw a bullpen today, but was unable to get started. Bailey is to be examined tonight by Reds medical director Dr. Tim Kremchek. “It was little bit alarming for me,” Bailey said, describing the latest feeling in his shoulder. “I threw the other day and felt great. The last couple days, there has been some soreness in places where I usually don’t get soreness.
