Final.

Dixie gets the win. I didn't go so don't have all the details. Conner jumped out to a 3-0 lead. Stansbury hit a HR for Dixie. Smallwood did not start but pitched the last 2 innings.

Who started for each team? Any details on the game?

West started for Conner but I am not sure who started for Dixie.

Leon started and went 5. So I guess Stansbury tomorrow, but you never know with Max.

Conner put up a 3 spot in the first, and West cruised through the first 3 innings. Dixie had a big 4th, and put up a 5 spot and knocking West out of the game. Score stayed that way until the top of the 6th when Conner tied the game at 5. Dixie came right back in the bottom of the 6th and got those two runs back on a controversial play at second base and an error by the Conner SS. Conner went 1-2-3 in the top of the 7th to close it out.

Leon started for Dixie. He went 5 innings giving up 5 runs. 3 of the coming in the first inning after a controversial call at first base in which it appeared the runner was out but ruled safe. Smallwood came in to pitch the sixth and seventh.

Sexton was 3 for 4 with 3 doubles and a K. Smallwood who started as DH laid down two sacrifice bunts that were very big. Stansberry had a 3 run homerun in the 4th that landed out by the scoreboard.

Dixie plays the cov cath/Boone winner tomorrow at 12PM at champion window field for the 9 th region title.

Who will be the starting pitcher for Dixie tomorrow?

Have to think Smallwood followed by either Sexton or Stansbury. Nice to have your top 3 available.

This just in.

Sexton can hit.

If he had any speed he would have had 3 triples.

Nice job, young man.

Good call at 2nd. The fielder was off the base.

Very true. But on his behalf the runner in front of him was held at 3rd on 2 out of his 3 doubles.
