Beck was 100% wrong for doing this. My opinion, Fox should send a message and Beck suspended for a couple of weeks.

I wonder how those that defended the comments on Palin's daughters because "Palin brought them into this" responded to Beck's comments about the Obama girls.

Who do you mean by "a lot of you?" The handful of us that have posted in this thread? What makes you think that?

If he was spouting that Bush was anti-American, a socialist, making fun of his daughters, and in general, promoting fear and panic amongst his listeners, then no, I wouldn't have enjoyed it.

No he wasn't doing those things, but he did loudly and frequently disagree with the President when he didn't agree with him and or the Republicans.

Why the eyeroll? That is what Beck is doing now.

I have no problem with anyone disagreeing with any president (D or R) or any politician for that matter. However, we have people in this country that are antagonising, telling lies or half-truths and fear-mongering. They "rile up the troops" and people eat it like it was candy. They don't want answers to problems. They can't make a buck off those. They only want to get people to buy their snake oil.

You know exactly why I put in the eye roll. There was no way Beck was going to say those things about Bush, that's not what he thought about Bush. He disagreed with the expansion of government under Bush, the growth in foriegn debt under Bush and the lack of control in spending.

Unlike many I'm not a Kool-aid drinker and apologist for either side. If I agree I'll state that and if I disagree I'll state that. If you check all of my post you will see I have been supportive of people and issues on both sides of the political spectrum. While I am much more conservative in leaning than liberal I can look at both sides and try to see the logic to their points. I said the night he was elected that my hope for Obama was that he did a good enough job that I would vote for him in four years.

FYI: I have supported 2 Democrats, 1 Independant and 3 Republicans for President since I have been old enough to follow politics.

At least he gave an apology. You would never get one from the left, even when their hands are caught in the cookie jar. When the left does something like what Beck did they never apologize, they just keep hammering. Or if their caught in a 'big lie', they continue with the 'big lie' as they want people to believe it is the truth. A difference here is that Beck is on radio and TV. The ones on the left who need to apologize are government (so-called) leaders.

If I had known why you put the eye roll, then I would not have asked. You are taking this much too personally. I'm not interested in your voting record.

I don't watch Beck, so I don't know what he said about President Bush. You said that he hammered Bush the way that he hammers Obama now. Well, refer back to post #11 for what he appears to be hammering Obama on currently.

Feel free to fill me in on what fear mongering he was doing when Bush was in office. I'm willing to listen.

You say you don't watch Beck???? Then how do you know so much about what he says??? From DNC talking points, Keith Olberman...?

Wasn't taking it personal, just pointing out that unlike many and like some out here in BGP world, I do not follow a set party line.

I don't watch any cable news shows, besides perhaps Anderson360. Lately, several articles about Beck's "wacko" nature have been written that have made their way to me.

FWIW, I wouldn't know Keith Olberman if he walked up and shook my hand. I do find it interesting that you claim to be a "free agent" and accuse me of using "DNC talking points."

What is sad is Beck is actually pretty entertaining to listen to when he isn't talking about politics. Same goes for Olberman. When Olberman was on with Dan Patrick I use to love listen to him. Then I tried to watch his show and man oh man, what a nut ball. Beck is pretty much the same way.

Morning Joe is about the only I can watch on a regular basis. The rest of them turn my stomach. Olberman, Maddow, Hannity, and Beck are the worse of the worse.

When your past includes calling up a woman who just had a miscarriage live on the radio to ridicule her husband your rival about "not being able to do anything right" you're a loser. Plain and simple.

Joe is very respectful to his liberal and conservative guests alike. He's also pretty equal in his criticism of both parties. I can remember the time he was trying to talk to Coulter but she would not shut her mouth long enough for Joe to even get a sentence in. You could tell he was seething at her rude behavior but he remained cool and respectful before ending the segment.
