Secondly why do we have schools for trouble kids? Because parents don't whip their kids. Bring back paddling. Bring back whipping a kid with a belt at home.

 

I came from a single parent home. When i messed up in school it was National Whip your Kid day at my house. My favorite butt whipping was with my hot wheels yellow race car track.

 

Point I am making is kids need that behind whipped. Just like criminals need a beat down too. To many chances in life now. There was one chance in my house. You messed up you paid up.

She was not a licensed(?) teacher.

Edit: If you used the link provided from above, make sure that you watch it all the way through. The first time that they show it, they cut it off a little soon. When you see her kicking the kid and hitting him in the head...well, it makes me, as a teacher, want to cry.

If this were one of my kids she would find out what it would be like to be on the receiving end of the same. I don't care that she is a woman and 99.9% I would not condone hitting a woman but this could be the one instance I would.

The guy on the video is correct. If that had been a white teacher beating that student, there would have been many many problems.

I've almost lived 50 years. I guarantee I have had more whippings in one day than most kids born after 1990 have had in a lifetime. I was not abused.

 

My dad told me if I got spanked at school. I had another one coming when I got home.

 

My child is in college. I've spanked her twice in her lifetime. She would probably tell you she was abused...

 

My guess is that video showed a lack of discipline from every one in it. Teacher should be in jail. Who's to say the boy won't be in jail within the next five years. Don't know the whole story, but I would like to see that video starting 15 minutes earlier.

Unless you believe that half of the kids in the country are "trouble" kids then the "whipping" theory doesn't hold water IMO. Hardly anyone whips their kids anymore yet a small percentage are truly problems.

I swatted my son today for something he knows better than doing.

20% max.

I think 20% is light. Maybe not for the total US. in our neck of the woods I would double that to 40%.

If you think that abuse was bad, you should scroll up on the page and watch the octopus eat the shark. Disturbing that we allow octopuses to run rampant against poor, helpless sharks in the aquarium neighborhoods.
