Saw this video on Youtube this morning. It's insane.

Makes me wonder how little administrative support this teacher must have felt she had.

Why would "administrative support" come into question?

She must not have any confidence in the discipline system of the school to take matters into her own hands like this....

I guess that's one way of looking at it.

I look at it as she's a punk and in the wrong profession and should be charged with a crime.

Saw on the news this morning she has had a warrant for her arrest for over a year for slashing all 4 tires on someone's car.

Don't think administrative support had much to do with this one.

Not condoning it but certainly nothing compared to what I've witnessed or received when I was in school.

I guess that's one way of looking at it.

I agree.

My son worked in a halfway house for troubled teens. They were taught how to restrain out of control teens, not to drag a kid out in the floor, and 'knuckle up' and beat them. What this 'teacher' did was just unbelievable. I am just stunned. Why is this 'teacher' not in jail?

I would have to have been there to make an accurate assessment of the situation, but at first glance, looks to be a little over the top. I am hearing very disturbing trends taking place in our local schools here in NKY. Mostly kids disrespecting teachers, and cussing them out in classrooms. Times, they are a changin.

As a future educator I couldn't imagine beating the crap out of one of my students. Nothing they could do would make me that mad, unless I had to do it in self-defense of course. This was clearly not self defense, and the teacher should be in prison. Not only is it child abuse, but she has went against the codes and morals of her profession.

Agreed. However, cursing a teacher does not subject a student to a beating by the teacher.

She was not a licensed(?) teacher.
