Jarrod Polson Will Announce Today After School

You're right, somebody has to hand gatorade to the good players, and maybe wash there undies, etc.

And you asked 'what did you think I was going to say'. We figured it be something negative such as this. Stay classy.

Your'e right! Which is why someone else asked what he meant by a previous comment.

You were correct, Jarrod will produce off the court for this team as well! He will be there for 4 years, be a very good academic student, a very strong Christian that will be a good role model, not only for kids, but for his teammates, and even some adults!

He certainly produced on the court last season....:walk:

Anyone that has knowledge of team sports (not pointing any fingers) knows that there is a lot more to being a good team than starring on the court.

Some of my favorite teammates ever in high school and college were guys who didn't see much time on the field or never won a track meet event. But they pushed me and gave so much effort that it made me work harder to get better. I had one teammate in HS who I give a ton of credit for my collegiate athletic scholarship. Every day in practice he told me 'Today is the day I am going to beat you.' That made me work that much harder and get that much better. But he was also the first person to congratulate me after every win. He was a true teammate!!!

Had a guy on our regional runner-up team in high school. The coach frankly said, "he can't run, can't jump, isn't an athlete...but, when he gets in the game he does exactly what we ask - he runs the offense, doesn't hurt us and plays hard..."

That player gave 100% effort throughout his career and absolutely maximized every bit of talent he had. What more can you ask for?

Guys like that are essential to a winning team, IMO.

How is that being negative? Would these "chores" not be considered being a good team mate?

 I can sense a made for T.V. movie in the books, in the not so distant future.

Talking about yourself in 3rd person isn't nearly as flattering. :p

I doubt Calipari would call the kid up and ask him to be a walk on so he can 'wash their undies'......get real and again......stay classy.

Agreed. How many National Championships has Cal won with his one and done strategy? If he has a roster of players who nobody knows or has any loyalty to and they DON'T win 30+ games...how long will the love affair last?

Just curious.

Gentlemen, some of you are flirting with rule #2. Perhaps you all should review it. Take personal junk to the PM's. Otherwise some of you are going to be on the outside looking in.

I'll skip over any further discussion and just say that I'm happy for Polson and think he'll be a nice addition to the program. :thumb:

I'm happy for Polson as well. Excellent choice.
