Tebow a Bronco!!!!!!

Featured Replies

I'm done.

Critisizing the Broncos decisions from here on out.

Jon Gruden, who I feel is a top 5 coach in the NFL and a better man than most in the league has sold me.

I'm going to just get behind every McDaniel move and either sink or swim with them.

I don't know why, because I did not like Tebow one bit in college (mainly because of UF) but this move just made me feel good inside. I'm glad he is Denver and I actually like the Thomas draft at WR over Dez Bryant.

Go Broncos!

Looks like someone just drank the McDanials koolaid.

Also by some of his actions on the field it's easier to say that he seems fake than it is to peek in to his personal life and say that he's a great person. He probably is a good guy, but he's no angel which is my point. He has always acted like he always does the right thing, he has always wanted attention for the works he does off the field. Those aren't judgment calls either. I don't blame him for spreading the word, but would a true selfless person go to the extremes that he does know that his ways turn many people off? People like David Robinson and Reggie White professed their faith many times during their careers, but did not make it a spectacle in the the way that Tebow did. There seems to be an ulterior motive or Tim Tebow is just really high on himself.

The judgments I make are from what I personally see in the public sphere not making an estimate or believing the hype about his personal life, which is different. It may be a minuscule difference, but it is a difference.

All I know is, I saw a picture of his girlfriend one day, and let's just say she would have made Employee of the Century at Hooters. I'm not so sure I would dating a chick like that if I were to abstain from pre-marital affairs.

I can't stand Tebow. I think he's a phony, and though I don't doubt that he's religious it's sickening and IMO fake to do it at the extent he does. It's easy to profess your faith and always say the right thing when you're on top of the world, we'll see how he does with a little humble pie in the NFL. .

Actually my view is just the opposite. It is very easy to call on your faith and to rely on it when things are going crappy and you know you have no control of what is going on.

It is very difficult to not get wrapped up in yourself and that you are all of that and a bag of chips when things are going great. You begin to think that things are going so great because you are the greatest person in the WORLD instead of being humble as your faith tells you to be.

I think it is harder when things are going good to be a Christian than when things are going bad. Bad is just a reminder that you are not in control. Good feds our human ego that we are great.

So, going to a prison and hanging out with those that society has cast aside and put into jail for good reasons has somehow become a bad thing because a young 20 year old CHristian man did it. WOW!

To be fair, Brady never totally had the QB job at Michigan, so scouts never got a true appreciation for his abilities in game situations.

And just because you're dying for Tebow to succeed for the wrong (non-athletic) reasons doesn't mean it's going to happen. He can send up all the platitudes he wants, but God doesn't care about sports.

So, do you think character should have any say into who I should root for as a professional athlete?

I mean if Charley Manson showed some mad skills I should root for him? Or should I have any value system at all?

Adding to this, I was proud of how the Steelers was handling the issues going on with their players. Are you saying that 1) the Steelers are wrong for expecting the players representing their team should act better; 2) am I wrong for liking how the Steelers are handling their situations?

What team is he playing for?

What team is he playing for?

Bengals probably having a draft analysis on him.:D:clap::D:clap::p:p:p:p

Trade your QB ,WR, TE. Defense is old. I'll give Josh about a year he'll be looking for a job. He's toast

No that's not a bad thing at all. Having TV camera's follow you when you do it is. He wants publicity and there's no denying that.

That may have changed my mind.

I hope it did.

I'm sure that Tebow will face some challenges in the NFL, EVERYONE does. He's aware of this, he's not a stupid kid.

But, what you get with Tim Tebow (before the struggles) is someone that will sign the contract and get to work. What he said to Jeremy Schapp during the draft, that he's ready to get to work.....I honestly believe that. Tebow has a work ethic that's really uncommon in some of today's young players. You're not getting a prima dona that wants to see the money upfront before he even says the team's name.....he wants to work, he wants to learn, he wants to win and succeed.

After the struggles, I think he'll be a very humble young man and learn from his mistakes.

Later.

I hope it did.

Major reasons I like him and think it is not as much of a reach as some think.

See, that's where we differ. I'm trained to be the skeptic.[/QUOTE]

I'm so glad that i'm not...that has to be a sad life to always be skeptical of people.

One way or another, Tebow will define McDainals career...

If Tebow turns into a good QB, JM will look like a genius.

If Tebow just doesn't work, then JM will look like the idiot that I believe he is...

CCC, I have a DVD of Tim Failing.

You sound pretty hard on him. The kid was born over seas as his Parents were on a mission trip. Every year Tim takes a trip and I have read many things on him and seen video of him. We all sin and fall short of the Glory of God, and Tim is a sinner, but he is the real deal, and you are entitled to give your thoughts, but I won't judge your comments, because there is a verse on judging others.

I'm not judging him, I don't know him. I am skeptical about him because of how he acts from time to time. He's abrasive to me with his religious beliefs, to the point where it comes off to me as arrogance and it seems fake to me.

But mainly it kills me to hear about how good he is. Why's he a good role model? Is it because he professes his faith at any and every chance he gets? Or is it because he never gets in trouble?

Many other Christian athletes have been outspoken about their faith such as David Robinson or Reggie White, but they didn't make a spectacle out of it. Was David Robinson any less of a role model than Tebow? Tebow gets a pass for alot of things IMO by people. Tebow's ministry is always a story and he keeps it that way with the things he does.

Tebow is a great football player and stays out of trouble off the field. You never hear a coach say a bad word about him as a person. That should be enough. I believe in God as much as the next person, but I feel that Tebow's relgion becomes more about HIM than about Jesus or God. That's JMO.
