Corbin and Whitley County jump out to an early lead in the district with sweeps in the first round of district games. Whitley has shown that they can score lots of runs against a suspect defense. Corbin shows some grit and hardnosed play.

 

South has some serious work to do to get back into the top two while Williamsburg is looking at a huge gap to catch up with the top two.

 

April 19th and 20th could decide the district if Corbin sweeps, if they split it could really get interesting. If Whitley sweeps, they would still have some work to do, with South still ahead of them. South could help themselves with a sweep of Williamsburg, while Williamsburg could salvage something with a sweep or a split.

Whitley County is the only district team with a positive winning margin at this point in the season while South is scoring the least per game and Williamsburg is giving up the most runs per game.
