I think in the end he goes with UL.

You have the family ties with the father and uncle having both played for RP and you have the hiring of the AAU coach...all of that pulling on Teague for a long time...UL eventually wins out.

 

I would say this is Pitino's biggest recruit since Jamal Mashburn when he was at UK. Pitino needs Teague desperately, IMO.

Let's start hoping for the best.

How much he actually knows I'm not sure, but I spoke with a player for UofL and he didn't have many positive words to say on the topic FWIW.

For UK, he turns what will most likely be an already great recruiting class into a once in a lifetime type of class like we had last season. For UL, I feel he means much more simply due to the Chandler reopening his recruitment/ not qualifying issue. If Chandler goes elsewhere and Pitino misses out on Teague, that basically tears apart the loaded class many of the Card fans were hoping for.

I would love to see Teague at UK, but for me personally, Louisville is my #2 team, so either way it's good, especially if UK can land Wroten. Imagine how that would elevate the rivalry if UK and UL had two big time recruiting classes in 2011. Would definately be good TV for college basketball, in an era where the regular season will probably mean jack squat since the 96 tourney looks to be in place.

If you asked me a week ago, I'd have said 100% yes. With all of the rumors swirling lately, I'm just going to make the trip to Pike on Thursday and see how it plays out...

For UK it is a "want", for UC and UL it is a "need".

Cronin could use a dose of positive synergy with a Teague verbal and Pitino definitely needs it because of how he has promoted the 2011 class as potentially the best in UL history.

I think it's odd that UK is painting the picture that they don't "need" Teague. That's odd to me, UK hasn't exactly set the basketball world on fire the last decade. They need all the talent they can get too. I mean, the kid is the top pg prospect in the country. Everyone needs him.

Kentucky doesn't "need" Teague. He'd be a great addition to any program, but Kentucky is in good enough shape with other high profile players that they can afford to miss on Teague & bring in someone else.
