Red Sox 9 Yankees 7

Featured Replies

The Yankees had a 5-1 lead after knocking Beckett around. However, Sabathia wasn't any better and the Sox won the battle of the bullpens. There's a long, long way to go but the 2010 opener had playoff intensity, if not execution.......It should be a fun year.

Wow that game was exciting to watch! Definitely a playoff atmosphere on day 1.

That's one of the thigns I really like about Yankee's/Bosox. Always get the playoff feelilng no matter when the game is held.

That was quite a game! I, along with everyone else, thought it was over early. Boy, was I wrong!

Yankees bullpen=AAA

I believe it will be their downfall. They worry too much about getting the big names in the field and in the starting rotation and for get that it's the bullpen that ultimately wins the most ballgames.

Sox inked Beckett to a 4 year 68 million extension today.....

Went to bed with the Yanks leading 5-1,I was thinking game over time to get some sleep, boy was I wrong.

Like I said last May when the Yanks were behind..."Its a very long season".

Best way for the season to start SEEING THE EVIL EMPIRE FALL.

Which one? There's very little difference in the Yankees and Sox and I think that Boston is just as bad and even less likeable. JMO, but they are Yankee wannabees.:idunno:

Not the fans, the organization. But, I will say this: The new Sox fans in my area have made me a little bit of a Yankees fan.:D I can respect the old school Sox fan, but the guys who just came out of the woodwork lately have kind of made me sick. Not that it applies to anyone on here, I don't talk baseball enough on here to know who anyone's team is.
