Cincinnati's own Wussy has a new album out. Shake It is behind on the pressing, so the vinyl won't be available until April and I'll probably wait until then to give it a spin.

 

It's getting solid reviews.

She has a pleasant and trippy late 60's folky voice reminiscent of Sandy Denny, Joan Baez, or Judy Collins.

 

Pretty groovy psychedelic stuff.

Australian nu-folk duo Luluc's release "Passerby" with beautiful female lead vocals of Zoe Randell.

 

Very laid back, throwback mellow stuff that bleeds into your soul.

 

They will be in downtown Cincy next Sunday evening in the 2016 MusicNow Festival playing at the rarely used, little known about classic Cincinnati Masonic Center Auditorium in the same building as the Taft Theatre, and not to be mistaken with the basement ballroom that's been used fairly often in recent years for less pricey shows.

17 year old Brit Declan McKenna recorded his hit "Brazil" when only 16 winning him an afternoon stage slot at Glastonbury on the strength of his performance at a local talent show as the winner of the festival's 2015 Emerging Talent Competition.

 

His first full length is still in the works while he travels the world on the success of this song which has taken on a life of its own gaining attention for being a spit in the eye of corruption within FIFA (Federation International Football Association).

In the spirit of young budding Brits here was the first hit for Jake Bugg "Two Fingers" from his debut that went to Number 1 in the UK when he was just 18. He's now 22 and has 3 releases and has played stateside which each release.

 

After the introduction part of this song, it takes off with a catchy earworm effect.

 

BTW Two Fingers in England is the equivalent to the middle finger here.
