March 22, 201016 yr Isnt it a better advantage to play the early game instead of finishing up at 12am. I thought # 1 seeds had the advantage. WV or washington will get more rest and get to watch us play (if we win) Most cant stay up that late to watch a game anyway. Do all # 1 seeds have to play the late game time?
March 22, 201016 yr Author Syracuse plays at 7. But it must be fair becasue Duke plays late too. So if they have to then it must be fair or an advantage becasue dUKe will have the best available.
March 22, 201016 yr Look I have read all about the unfairness of the set up in the brackets (the "great" Texas team as a second round match up) but to complain about the time slot of the game???????????? I really hope this does not get much steam because quite frankly this is ludicrous.
March 22, 201016 yr Author Are you being serious here? yes, why does UK play a late game that will be over at 12 midnight. wouldnt it be better if we got more rest and watched who we may play and force WV or Wash to have less rest. Common sense.
March 22, 201016 yr yes, why does UK play a late game that will be over at 12 midnight. wouldnt it be better if we got more rest and watched who we may play and force WV or Wash to have less rest. Common sense. Ratings. CBS knows its late, but they also know Kentucky will watch if the game starts at 2am. It's not a case of UK getting messed over; it's a good business decision for a company fighting to maintain the rights of the tournament.
March 22, 201016 yr Well....since this is not the UKIT therefore you have no option "to force WV or Washington" to have those 2 less hours of rest..........................:ohbrother:

March 22, 201016 yr Well....since this is not the UKIT therefore you have no option "to force WV or Washington" to have those 2 less hours of rest..........................:ohbrother: But UK IS the #1 seed in the region, and should get preferential treatment (as should all the #1 seeds). I agree that its not a big deal, but the #1's SHOULD get the early games, IMO. Its not like the first round where they're trying to put the good games in primetime instead of during the work day.
March 22, 201016 yr :thumb: The fact that some are complaining about this is insane IMO. I could care less. But if you take any coach in America, and ask them if they would rather play at 7:30 or 10:00, knowing they are playing again with only 1 day off, every single one would answer 7:30. Do not discount the fact you are still dealing with kids. Put any type of odd wrinkle in to the hat and you never know what will happen. It is not an excuse, just reality. Seems silly to begin games that late anyways, but it is a business.

March 22, 201016 yr Author At least UK could watch their opponent play if we win. Now they can watch us and scout us ahead of time.
