The one thing that hurts a team more than anything is lack of leadership. Hope that Siva will step up to the challenge.

Yeah, they really missed TWill's leadership this year. Smith, Delk and Sosa just didn't get it.

Actually, UofL has a top 40 kid committed, and a pretty decent prep school pg. Not to mention a top 5 2011 class. They're ok recruiting whise. They also will add Chris Smith, JR Smith's brother next year.

I saw Russell Smith (prep school) play twice. Not bad at all. Good explosion, has the upper body to defend in the Big East, will need to learn to shoot better, but he's got the game to help.

The talent was there this year to win ball games. The leadership wasn't. I agree with GT, in that we may be looking at the same problem next season.

While UK coaches are out watching 5-star players as far away as California and Washington, UL has been watching a walk-on who is un-rated and is a 5-10 shooting guard.

I hope we get to see Brandon Knight vs Elisha Justice next year...

Not really. There's some truth there.

I think very highly of Siva and what he will become at UL, but I can't see him emerging as the leader of this team as early as next season. If he can make that jump, UL will be in a lot better shape...

Agreed.

I think he will eventually become that player. I look for Knowles to be a leader next year too. He is a lot more focused and serious than Sosa and Smith. The wrist injury really hurt him this year.

I can tell you Justice is a good high school player. I wish him well. I just don't think he will see much time at UL.

They better find away to get Mara on the floor more. That kid can be that outside threat they need.

I really want to think Knowles will step in that spot next year. I've heard nothing but great things about him off the court, and he has proven his value on the court as well. I just haven't seen him be very vocal, and it's hard for a role player (even one as good as Knowles) to become a leader on the floor. Next year is going to be a very interesting season at UL. A lot rides on how it plays out...
