CovCath moves on to play Newport @ The BOKC on Saturday March 6th. This game will be the first of two that is being played Saturday. CovCath vs. Newport game will tip off @ 6pm, while the second game of the night will start @ 7:30pm.

 

What in the world has happened to FT shooting. Teams combined for 10/22 for .45? That is just awful. It's a lost art.

Colonel-Fan, you beat me to it. I was just catching my breath. They scored 28, but I know I can can up with 6 balls that rolled off the rim that would have gotten me to 40. Also, if we had played 3 more OT's, I would have been so close.

All that matters, is CovCath won and moves on to play another day!

Final in the 1st Round at BOK Arena.

 

This was a fantastic game. The Cru came back strong and had a shot to put it away due to CovCath's inability as well to put it away.

 

Thelen had 16 for the Colonels.

 

Anderson had 12 for the Cru.

Barnett also had 12 points.

 

Stephen Wilson's big shot off the glass was huge there in the 2nd OT and the goaltending call was the 2pt difference at the end.

That hurt the eyes to watch. It doesn't matter who won this game because they will both be overmatched by a much better Newport team.

 

CCH's guard play was abysmal.

 

Both teams turned it over every other play.

 

Just an ugly game.

I'm all for CovCath winning. And I think they've got a shot to beat Newport as well. The only point I want to make is in the 9th Region tourney, the games seemingly always turn into grinders. If the teams aren't getting up and down the floor it's tough for any 3 players to go for 40, let alone 50.

I don't think CovCath will beat Newport. I think Newport has the big bodies to match up w/ CovCath. I think Newport has much more talent. But with that said, Newport never really blew out St Henry in 2 matchups this year.

I really enjoy watching Ryan Anderson play. Nice all-around player and a good kid. The block he had on Wilson's breakaway layup is one of the better efforts and blocks you'll see.
