Game 1 - Wed. at 6pm - Ryle vs. Newport

Game 2 - Wed. at 7:30pm - St. Henry vs. CovCath

Game 3 - Thu. at 6pm - Holmes vs. Dixie Heights

Game 4 - Thu. at 7:30pm - NewCath vs. Boone County

 

If the BOKC doesn't have a good size crowd for these match-ups I will be surprised.

 

Wednesday night with CovCath, St. Henry, Ryle and first time in a while Newport playing, it should be a nice crowd attending the games.

 

On Thursday night with Holmes, Dixie, NewCath and Boone County WOW!

I'd say brackets are pretty evenly stacked. Good teams on both sides.

On thing for sure, there will be one team in the final that nobody projected to be there at the beginning of the season. CovCath and St. Henry have to be thrilled with the draw. So, The Old Guy deserves it on behalf of Blue Colonel Nation. NCC needs to keep doing the ora et labora or whatever the one poster says - they have to run the gauntlet just to get to the finals. Bad luck for the Breds and Boone, each sharing honors for most difficult draw.

I would say they bottom is stronger with the way NCC is playing and if Boone bounces back to where they were about a week or two ago. Along with the favorite Holmes!!!

I'm thinking the same thing. Holmes is the favorite, but they've not shown an ability to beat teams the way they should.

Isn't the 9th region and the 16th region trading officials again this year for the regionals.

 

That in fact is correct. Those are the regions that will be swapping this year.

The BOKC box office is open today (Sunday) at 12 noon.

Children six and under are free or it might be children under six are free not sure which is correct!

Tickets are $6.00 if purchased in advance but are $8.00 on game day!

 

The BOKC will have a section for each team fans to sit in and when you purchase your ticket tell the cashier what team fans you want to sit with!

Funny, but at Mass Saturday evening at IHM, I sat next to Ben Bessler Dad (Vince) and told him to wish Ben good luck from me.

 

I commented to him that I would bet they would love to win their first round game like they won the last game they played at the BOKC, we both had a good laugh about that! For those who don't understand why we had a laugh it was the game where St. Henry won by a huge margin over New Miami (Ohio) 75/26.

The top 3 rated teams may be on the other side of the bracket but Ryle just blasted Boone the other night so some could argue they are the #2 team in the tournament. CovCath has beaten NewCath as well. Any given night most of these teams have the ability to knock off the other.

Should be a good tournament.
