Wrote a mod about it.

 

To get it to stop for now, look for the two radio #6 & #8 posts and click them off. You will notice when you click one off the mess will stop, and if you click both off you will have peace and quiet!

I have followed the region all year, like many others. Holmes has to be the favorite and for my money the championship game will be Saturday's second game. Assuming Holmes and NCC both advance, I would predict the winner will go on to win Sunday's championship game. Neither Holmes or NCC are unbeatable, I simply feel they are the two best teams in the region right now. Overall, I think the all the matchups are pretty compelling and the championship game should be very competitive. Ryle will have their hands full with what should be a very motivated Newport, trying to erase that district beat down out of their minds. I think CovCath will find a way to beat St. Henry. As I have already stated, I think we will see Holmes and NCC rematch in the lower bracket. No matter how the finals work out, I think it will be a good game. I am going to predict a Newport versus Holmes regional final game, that should be much more entertaining that the 61 point combined final of last year. Good luck to all teams!

When I get back to my room I'm gonna shoot an email over to Kevin Contardo with your info so we can get you on the media pass list. He said its not an issue putting you on it but he'd rather me email it in since he had to shift focus from the regional draw to the concert tonight. Its kinda funny cause right when me and the Tri-State crew were leaving, Kevin got a call over the radio that Martina McBride's people needed him. lol

The top 3 rated teams may be on the other side of the bracket but Ryle just blasted Boone the other night so some could argue they are the #2 team in the tournament. CovCath has beaten NewCath as well. Any given night most of these teams have the ability to knock off the other.

 

Thats what I mean, anyone can beat anyone. According to everyone, Holmes is beatable, and I would put Ryle at #2 the way they demolished Boone and have already proven they can beat Holmes. I'll still take Holmes to make it 4 straight to Rupp.

The only way Boone's draw could have been worse would have been playing Holmes in round one. That is why winning the district does mean something. Boone would trade places with Ryle in a heart beat. The region is very tough this year but there is no doubt the bottom bracket is the most difficult. You have two of the bottom three teams in the regional facing each other in round 1 in the top (St. Henry/CCH) and a team that just got destroyed in their district final in the other game (Newport). The good news for fans is Thursday is going to be about as good as it gets for round one of the regional. Good luck to all teams. I love tournament time!!!

Went to the BOKC to purchase my tickets. Pulled out of the driveway at 11:44am then went and got some cash out of my banks ATM and got to the BOKC at around 12:10pm. Stopped on the way home and purchased $20.00 of gas and got back at 12:50pm. So I did all this in a an hour and 6 minutes, so please don't tell me how it is to far to drive!

 

Purchased tickets for sessions #1, #3, #4, #6 and #7 so the cost was $30.00. Now boys and girls that is $30.00 for 10 games of quality Ninth Region Basketball or just $3.00 per game, now where can you get that kind of a bargain in this day and age.

 

BTW, people just don't understand the positive impact financially the BOKC has on NKy. While I was buying my tickets, there were two cars of four people each in the drop off area of the BOKC with licenses from Russell and Pike Counties. I know they were buying tickets for the show tonight! Now think of the money that the BOKC is bringing to NKy, from just these eight people from Hotel rooms, to food, to gas, to souvenirs of there trip! :notworthy:

 

I also don't think the Ninth Region will ever move from the BOKC no matter the crowds as NKU sold the BOKC as a community event center to the Legislators/Community Leaders of NKy and if even they only break even on the deal, this community event was a huge selling point in building the BOKC and NKU loves the exposure it receives this week from the students attending their campus!

Everyone on the one side of the bracket thinks they got a great draw.

The bottom is stacked! Ryle should walk to the finals.

Since the Ninth Region is not going to have programs at the tournament, could someone who know the names of the players their numbers and the team records post this information to the fans who then can print out the information and take there own program to the game with them please!
