I'm really disappointed in some of their programs recently with the Pawn Shop and yard sale people. History is history. Leave reality shows to the other stations.

I enjoy Pawn Stars but I have to question it's relevency to History and don't get me started on all the UFO shows.

I forgot about those! I like the Pawn Stars too but I really love history.

History is more than just big names, big events and so on. Often people overlook cultural and technological history. Pawn Stars and American Pickers both, in a sense, serve that purpose. Don't get me wrong there are some things about those shows that I don't like but they are an excellent way of exhibiting Americana at a personal level.

 

The shows I can't stand are AxMen, Ice Road Truckers and Madhouse. THOSE shows I can't fathom the relevance of in any way.
