February 26, 201016 yr A favorite little story I've read about: John Quincy Adams regularly went for early morning swims in the Potomac River - in the nude. He had also continually refused to grant any interviews to journalist Anne Royall, reputedly on account of her being a woman. Once Royall learned of his morning swims, she went to the river, grabbed all of his clothes and sat on them until he answered all of her interview questions. That allegedly made her the first female to ever interview any US President.

February 20, 20179 yr John Tyler (1790-1862), our 10th President, still has two living grandsons. Tyler died in 1862, but he had 15 children and fathered some late in life. His living grandchildren weren't born until the 1920s, during the Coolidge administration.
