Woodrow Wilson's first wife died while he was in office and he re-married during his first term. During his second term Wilson suffered a stroke and his second wife was very protective of him to the point that she was the only person to see him face to face. Rumors say that he was totally incapacitaed by the stroke and Mrs. Wilson actually carried out his duties.

That is correct. As CJ he swore in Calvin Coolige and Herbert Hoover.

 

He was also the last President to sport facial hair.
