February 17, 201016 yr Anyone catch why Jacobellis (spelling) was DQ'd? She knocked a gate down which is an automatic DQ.
February 17, 201016 yr US women curlers currently behind to Germany 4-2 after 6 ends. Probably the only sport where I've heard the following sentence: "It's just going to jam into the shot rock that's in the four-foot."

February 17, 201016 yr The analyst calling the women's games is much more technical than the guy doing the men's games.

This comment however had the room in tears: "It's only 5 inches. But in this game, 5 inches is absolutely massive!" P.S. I wish they'd give it more coverage. Right now it looks like their is a very good game going on between China and Great Britain. Edited February 17, 201016 yr by formerkywrestler

Great Britain won in sudden-death. Their skipper looks like she's about 16 years old.
February 17, 201016 yr This comment however had the room in tears: "It's only 5 inches. But in this game, 5 inches is absolutely massive!" I was working on something and had to rewind to make sure I heard it right. Hilarious...
February 18, 201016 yr White just posted a huge number in the half pipe. So far, as expected, noone is on his level. The women's downhill was pretty exciting. US placed 1st and 2nd, and a huge crash at the finish ruined a possible medal for some other country's skier.
February 18, 201016 yr Just stupid. White is playing chess while the rest of the world is playing checkers...
February 18, 201016 yr Great day for the Americans at the Olympics.:ylsuper: USA Absolutely. I'm just bummed that NBC didn't show at least a portion or highlights of the medal ceremonies for Shani Davis's win or White's win. When they finally went back out to the halfpipe, White had just gotten down off the podium...it wasn't like it took place after they went off the air. And they showed a brief clip of Shani with his hands in the air very, very briefly. I guess they feel like they have to promote the men's figure skating finals for the 30th time tonight before they sign off. :ohbrother:

I was looking for that tonight.
February 18, 201016 yr Is the speed skating relay final tomorrow? I was looking for that tonight. I'm guessing so. They never really came out and made a whole lot out of it after the USA qualified. But, rest assured, it'll take a back seat to the figure skating. :isurrender:
