Congratulations to Casey McDaniel, Newport, for hanging 31 on St. Henry to reach the 1000 pt. milestone with a bang!

 

This is a great acheivement for any HS hoopster.......considering that for most it would require that you contribute significantly to that total as a Soph.(or even Frosh) level to accumulate this number.

 

The much anticipated class of 2010 seems to be adding players to this club in Nky each week......I was wondering how many might reach that milestone as this season closes on the class of 2010.

I don't believe Sorrell scored many points during his sophomore campaign. His Jr and Sr totals are a bit under 800 so he's probably close but I think he'll fall shy unless SK makes a nice run.

Stephen Mason of St. Pats got his 1000th early this year I believe. One of those schools that may be just a little south of NKY. that seldom gets recognized

Might be thinking of Rieger from Brossart? I don't think Jolly got a lot of varsity minutes freshmen/soph years as Campbell County had some senior dominated teams at that time. I don't know if he averaged any more than 10 ppg as a junior. Has had a nice year scoring the basketball this season but don't know if it will get him to 1000.

Think eastin of Dayton is close.

With all the cancellations, some players might not hit this milestone.

 

Many schools are going to loose between 1-3 games due to snow, and that mean 50-60 points for that player.

I don't think Gabbard will reach it. Probably has over 750 though.

I'd be surprised if any of the bolded players make it to 1,000. It's hard to do unless you score a lot of points early in your career, and for many of the people on the list, they didn't score as sophomores. One that I would think is close is Kowolonek, as he got significant minutes even as a freshman.

Bryan for Villa is about to hit 2,000. Pretty impressive considering he didn't go to school there his freshman year.

You are correct, but all of Bryans are from three years at Villa.

Brandon Hatton from Dixie is off to a pretty good start. I like his chances to enter the 1000 point club...sometime during his sophomore year.
