Yeah, I'm interested to know how that big bad economic system we have in place caused these "oppressed" to be such...Sure some are put in much more favorable positions than others, but everyone has an opportunity to succeed.

It is not the system, but people who have lost their desire to be hard-working individuals who are motivated to do better for theirselves and their families.

He has since then worked for the government in one form or another. He has little understanding of how business works in the real world.

Big government has created an entirely dependent class.

Big business has all too often been ruled by greed and self service.

 

One thing they both have in common (far too often) is corruption. The sad part is that we need business and we need government. But too often they spin out of control as many of them are doing right now.

I took it that he was talking in general, not about a particular set of young people. I will say that in his first two lines he hit the nail on the head for about 95% of the young people we work with who come to us needing help. I realize that just applies to our population though.
