A.P. Poll for Jan. 25

Featured Replies

Congrats to Crittenden County. The voters didn't let their 3-12 record keep them from casting votes for the Rockets this week. Look for Feds Creek and Maysville to get votes next week.

Sometimes its more about who you played instead of your record.:D

Move Valley down to #10 and this looks pretty dead on.

Did you see the Litkenhous ratings published today?

The 8th rated team in the 7th Region, Moore, was rated higher than the top rated team in 8 other regions.

Who knows how accurate Dr. Lit is, but nonetheless that is impressive for the 7th Region.

Best looking Top 10 I've seen.

Maysville traditionally fields a strong team. Coach Earle Jones is one of the better ones.

Perhaps Crittenden County is on a "one point for each win" voting system.

Best looking Top 10 I've seen.

The inclusion of Corbin in the receiving votes I assume.

Though the order is different, the top 10 teams in the AP Poll is identical to the teams in the BGP Poll.

Trinity - Same

Ballard - Up 1 from BGP

Holmes - Up 1 from BGP

Eastern - Up 1 from BGP

Scott County - Down 3 from BGP

Christian County - Up 2 from BGP

Shelby Valley - Up 2 from BGP

Jeffersontown - Down 2 from BGP

Seneca - Up 1 from BGP

George Rogers Clark - Down 3 from BGP

Better than usual from the AP, but I can't endorse a poll that someone votes Crittenden County into at 3-12 against awful competition.

Honest question:

Somebody has to know who the AP voter was who voted for Crittenden County with their 3-12 record! Can't that person find out why he/she voted for them? It does make this poll useless and that isn't fair to the quality teams on this list or the ones left off!

Is Corbin in the Top 10? Didn't think so. :ohbrother::laugh:

I said Top 10 and the placement of the teams are the best I've seen so far this season.:thumb:

It's amazing how the four different polls you look at differ.:confused::confused:

Maybe three different voters each gave them a 10th place vote.

I'm thinking that maybe Crittenden County can have some t-shirts printed up. We're #16.

Obviously, this is not a slam on Crittenden. Rather, on the person who for some reason gets an AP vote.

It was a polite dig Les. :D

My point is that while the placement of certain teams can be up for debate, but very little distinguishes this poll from the one you have so vehemently disagreed with all year long.
