FYI Keading is 8/15 for his career in the playoffs.

December has ended, and thus so has the Chargers' winning ways.

There might be a chance now of Bret Favre getting to play his old team in the Super Bowl in the Jets. It really is just crazy what the Jets have done.

I called a Jets win at halftime and didn't even get a chance to see the end of the game. I put in on my facebook and just had a feeling. Jets would pull it out somehow and Rivers would throw some bigs Int's.

Keading is obviously overrated. His "highlights" were just a bunch of huge missed kicks. I say cut him and Norv Turner.

I'll take the Jets next week as well. Saints vs. Jets a SuperBowl no one will expect.

I am not trying to take away from you predicting that at halftime. However it was not that crazy of a prediction to make at that time. The game at that point was definitely more in favor of the Jets on how it was being played, even though they were losing at the time.

I know I think it would be crazy to see a Jets vs. Vikings matchup. Favre going against the team he just played for last year.

I think the Super Bowl will very exciting to watch regardless of who's in it at this point. All four teams are fun to watch.

Completely disagree with the onside kick. Jets have not been to the super bowl since Namath beat the Colts. Now they have to beat the Colts to go to the super bowl. Pretty cool.

And the Colts waltz into the Super Bowl. :ohbrother:
I don't know, the Jets are a dangerous team. One heck of a defense!

I know, I just thought it was odd that I was so comfortable about it. I just knew it would happen and I really don't watch much of either team.

Also, I just wanted to remind BigSpikes of it when he saw this on here because he was pullin' for the Chargers. He seriously knows a whole lot more than me about the NFL (and most things to be honest) so I have to joke around a little when I finally get one. :thumb:

I have been cheering for the Chargers since 1979. I still have an old Fouts jersey, some old Air Coryell pennants. I lived through the Immaculate Deception in 1980, the freeze out in Cincinatti in 1981, playoff upsets in 1982 and 1983, I cheered them and supported them for bad years in the late 80's and early 90's, watched them get waxed in the Super Bowl in 1994, kept on supporting them through horrendous years in the late 90's and early part of this decade. I suffered through Kaeding's choke in 2004, the choke against New England in 2006, fight through adversity to fall in the AFC championship in 2007, watched them lose to a better team after a stretch run in 2008, and through all that, this one hurts the worst.

My whole family, including my infant daughter in an Antonio Gates onesy, was sporting Charger jerseys tonight, and watched them suck, and not only suck, bur suck with bad form, kicking a challenge flag for one penalty, head butt a player for another, throw an interception when noone was looking, miss three field goals, drop a first down pass, give up a third and ten first down simply by being lazy.

I just don't know whether I can take it anymore.

Norv Tunrer is not the issue. He is a good coach. The onside had a method to the madness, we can talk more about that later. Rivers is a good quarterback, I really don't think he is the issue. The Chargers just aren't TOUGH. Their lineman, both sides of the ball, just are not tough, and I am sick and tired of overrated talent.

Let L.T. retire gracefully if he will, but if he won't cut him before he gets the $4 million. This is a business. Get something for Sproles, Cromartie, Castillo, Merriman and get rid of them. They are no longer threatening. Find some people whom other teams will fear, both sides of the ball.

I don't know whether I can wear a Bolt jersey anymore. We'll see.

^The Chargers do not have a run game. No one to block for it and no one to run the rock. I love LT and I hate watching him get sacrificed like he does on run plays now. I wished he'd retire, I hate to have to see him like this. It just isn't the same.

I think Norv's teams always seem to end up underachieving in some form or fashion.

I didn't get to see the game. I felt like the Chargers were as hot as anybody but I was one of the few in the prediction thread that felt like everybody was overlooking the Jets in this one.

IMO this was the worst matchup in the AFC for the Chargers. The NFL is about matchps in the playoffs and the Jets were a really bad matchup for the Chargers scheme/strength wise. That being said it's the suprise of the playoffs no doubt. Huge win for the Jets organization. I thought Rivers would impose his will at home.

I'm not a Mangini fan but if you look back on the personell he drafted it is pretty impressive! Revis and Mangold are going to be studs as long as they stay healthy in the NFL.

Kaeding should start looking for another job. That was the biggest choke job of his career.

Maybe he could help Shane Graham teach the Heimlich maneuver to save folks from "choking"?? :D
