It was getting so bad that the SEC self imposed a limit of 28 LOIs for this season. The practice was used so much that it was never really an issue for recruits in the south, but it's not common practice in the mid west, and when it does happen around here it can seriously damage your ability to get back into one of those schools down the road if their player ends up caught in the numbers crunch to get down to 25...

Strong will recruit in the South though mainly I would imagine so it won't be much of a problem. He's gonna be the go to guy for guys that don't make it in the bigger schools now that Doc Holliday left WVU IMO.

He'll get a good number of kids from the south, but I don't think there is any way UL doesn't have recruiting classes made up of at lowest 50% of the kids coming from this region. He's already been trying to hit Cincinnati and Indy hard, so clearly he knows it is a big priority...

February 1, 201016 yr Carnes committed to WKU. USF pulled their offer Friday and I heard Nebraska did as well. There was no explanation from Skip Holtz as to why the Bulls withdrew, but it's probably because Carnes had opened his options up and Jamius Gunsby told Skip that he'd commit to USF after his visit here this weekend. Gunsby has offers from UF, FSU, and UK. Carnes commits to Western Kentucky Georgia QB says he'll commit to USF on visit I saw that USF pulled their offer which surprised me some but I heard that they were getting the Gunsby kid so figured that might have been why. Didnt know that NU pulled the offer but it doesnt surprise me because they got their #1 qb target for 2011 earlier this week and they seem content to take no qbs in this class. Nice get for WKU tho.

Didnt know that NU pulled the offer but it doesnt surprise me because they got their #1 qb target for 2011 earlier this week and they seem content to take no qbs in this class. Nice get for WKU tho. He hasn't decided, and said he will be waiting until NSD. Down to WKU and the Huskers...

February 1, 201016 yr I heard grades. Looking at Ark State Sloan said in an interview that when he was on a visit to UK they checked out his shoulder that he has had some issues with and they pulled the offer because they didnt think his shoulder would ever heal enough to be able to play for them.
