Very interesting . . . . . I heard Marvin threw a red flag at his TV and said something like "you're not allowed to pass the ball to the guy that lines up outside the tackle. He's a blocker."
January 11, 201016 yr While I am very anti-Palmer and think he is a big part of Bengals' offensive woes, I will say this - I saw some balls being caught today in this game that no Bengal WR would have a earthly prayer of catching. I'm sure it gets tiresome reaching for balls behind you and stretching up high knowing you're going to get flattened, but that is what you get paid to do.
January 11, 201016 yr One heck of a finish. I turned it off at half and started playing the Wi, then turned it back on and it was 38-24. Rodgers and Warner were very good today.
January 11, 201016 yr I thought GB would be a tough out espeically the way their defense had been playing...not so much today! What a shootout! Watching Fitz play makes me wish the Bengals had a legit #1 WR!
January 11, 201016 yr I missed most of the game, not because I wanted too though. But after seeing the highlights there were two big calls that favored Arizona. 1 being the facemask when Rodgers fumbled, and the other being the helmet to helmet contact. Very tough loss but it all goes on the Packers lack of defense.

All QB's even the best ones throw many balls that are hard for their receivers to catch. However when you have receivers that can make those catches for you, then it is not much of a problem and no one really talks about it. However if the receivers never catch the passes, it just makes everything look bad. I know I can't even argue with you about the fact that Palmer was bad yesterday, because he was. However his receivers definitely didn't help him out any like these other guys do. Me and one of my best friends talked about this today. For a QB to look good, it really does take everyone else to be playing well too. If no one else is doing that well, then the QB doesn't look as great either. You could just look at Tom Brady today, he actually looked like a normal QB today, and that was because the whole team around him was just bad too.

January 11, 201016 yr Did anyone else think it was a facemask? It was a facemask. And a personal foul the play before. I can see how the facemask was missed, but that the miss on the shot to Rodgers head the play before was bad.

Why are the Bengals WRs so bad? A. Boldin goes down and guess what, the 4th reciever, Early Doucet,(Who?) steps up and plays big. Whos the Bengals 4th reciever? Cosby? What the heck did they draft Jerome Simpson to be? A freakin cheerleader?

Certainly poor QB play has to factor into that equation. So does poor passing schemes and inept play-calling. Jerome Simpson is without question one of the Bengals' biggest draft flops in recent years and Coles was a remarkable waste of money.
