Is there something wrong with Bert Browne in your opinion? He would appear to be as qualified as anyone that would have applied.

 

 

I dont mind if Bert Browne gets the job but to make sure two of your main applicants won't be interviewed because they would be a threat to Bert Browne is a joke. If he is the best and he gets it thats fine, but knock out the top candidates before the interviews because we want our buddy to get the job is awful.

They interviewed Browne yesterday from what I hear, don't know who else made the interview list, should be hiring in a couple days. I wonder if Coach Cobb from Somerset got an interview?

Well lets go through the list here. Rowan County Coach, Head Coach with no shot of getting the job is the reason he is getting interviewed. Doug Carter, they want him to help be an assitant when one of two gets the job. OC at Georgetown College, just a favor because Bill Cronin wanted him to get an interview and he has name value still in Richmond. Griffith and Browne are your true two finalists, WOW.

 

The hidden candidate to make the possible 6th would have to be none other than Big World. He has the two things you need to be a head coach at Madison Central or at least have a shot with an iterview. He is from Richmond, and he rides a bike all day long, so he has an athletic background.

How bout Mark Scenters he left Madison Central for Garrad County, he would

be a great canidate.

Winning championships doesn't mean that much. Example: Charlie Weis. Not every college coach is a great HS coach, just like every great college coach isn't a great Pro coach. Does it mean Chuck Smith should take over UT, or Trinity or St. X coach can be sucessful at Univ. Louisville.

1. 17 years experience at Georgetown and California University of Pennsylvania.

2. 4 year player for Georgetown College

3. 4 year player for Boone County

4. 2 National championships

5. Numerous Mid South Conference Championships

6. Coached/mentored under legendary Red Faught (who basically invented the run and shoot offense)

7. Coached under and played under legendary NAIA coaches Bill Cronin and Kevin Donnelly.

8. Produced great players: Eddie Eviston, Jeff Smith, Dane Damron

9. Great Guy! Christian and Family man!

With the way the administration handled the Gandolfo and Turner firings, and this watered down list of candidates nothing suprises me there anymore. With the season Feldhaus is having, he should be next in line per the school's recent track record. The Central sports program as a whole is a joke now.

 

And I am not expecting Dale Mueller, Bob Beatty, or Dudley Hilton to leave their respective programs for this job, but Doug Carter is one of the finalists? Seriously? His record at Madison Southern was awful while playing a much much weaker schedule then he would face at MC. I have a hard time believing that list of finalists is the absolute best of the best who applied for job, with all personal agendas aside.

Well one of the coaches they are not interviewing knocked the favorite for the job out of the playoffs and the other beat Madison Central 2 out of his 3 years he coached against them.

 

I'm not saying these two deserve the job, but to say they are not to be interviewed because they are a threat to the good ole boys is a joke.
