It sounded and looked like Kosar had golfed 18 holes w/ John Daly before taping.

Best of the series to date. I too remember watching the Texas game and thinking "is this really happening"? It was funny, I have always been a Dallas Cowboys fan and I HATED Jimmy Johnson AND Michael Irvin at Miami...let's just say I learned to appreciate their football skills later on.

I also loved how they showed all the old MNF clips of players saying "The U". I was hyped, ready to go play a game myself. I love confidence and attitude...obviously they took it too far IMO (there is a fine line), but was fun to watch.

If you liked the doc checkout Caine Mutiney if you have not. It is a quick read and covers a bunch of the stuff in more detail. I do not think the doc talked about Jerome Brown just dog cussing everyone at the coin flip and talking about killing them.

I watched it and thought it was a good documentary. I still think that Miami was nothing but a bunch of thugs then and to me this show backed that up. H. Schellenberger started a great program, what a coach he was (and still is).

Miami certainly had unbelievable talent, just with no dicipline and no class. Johnson was no doubt a good football coach but that is where it begins and ends and was imo a no class jerk himself. I would had loved to seen a coach that tried to teach his players some class, dicipline and that they could rise above their social situation and tensions through football and become better citizens rather than what I thought was embracing it. The Miami roster "rap sheet" then looked like the Bengals of a few years ago, lol.

Miami had one heckuva winning football program during that time as did FSU, Oklahoma, ND along with others. That show brought back some memories of some very good football....along with why I couldn't stand the Canes :D.

Yeah, that was just sad. He looked and sounded wasted.

I dont' know how true it is but I've read that Bernie has a pain killer addiction. He sure sounded a bit loopy. I love the part about the Oklahoma game and the call to Boz. The looks and sounds from that coin flip would have had me wanting to fly back home to Norman. All in all, what they were able to do once Howard got the ball rolling was unreal. They left their mark on college football for sure, it was a decade long Hurricane. Just wish they could have played a bit better against Bama, they made Gino look like a chump.

Which is why Shannon was the perfect hire IMO. Miami can't keep all of the SoFla talent, but they get alot of it and Miami is currently the cleanest of the Big 3 (or 4) in Florida. No scandals since the Marve incident a few years ago, which is quite an accomplishment for Thug U.

I agree on Shannon, he seems to be doing things in the right way.

No contest. I read a lot and would never consider a Kindle over a DVR.

As far as DVR's go, gotta go with DirectV, you can set your DVR to record from the Internet (including Blackberry's and IPhone's) anywhere you might happen to be. I use that feature all the time.
