Highlands would win them all.

You are correct!:ylsuper:

Highlands would win them all.

Highlands... or maybe Coach Ditka.

What would have been the championship games in these classes? I think 1A would have stayed the same and 6A = 4A, but who would have been the final opponents for Highlands and Fort Campbell?

Highlands would win them all.

And humility would be the team they beat!:lol::lol:

I agree with this one! Highlands would have eliminated Boyle County, while Fort Campbell would have beaten Paducah Tilghman (which they did anyway by a gigantic margin during the regular season).

^While this holds true......the question in the next quote is dead on.....

the big thing to find out here, is how would the schools be aligned? What schools would fall into what classes?

I think that this has been addressed before shortly after Championship weekend last season.....I just can't find the thread. :irked:

Later.

And humility would be the team they beat!:lol::lol:

I saw some old video of Tony Danza in his prime jumping rope on a Sesame Street show. Tony was in great shape then and could really jump rope! Here is the link showing him in action:

But with age comes wisdom. Yes, Tony has become very wise as well. His phrase “And humility would be the team they beat!” is just one phrase that that speaks of his wisdom. The other day he quoted a line from Betrand Russell that reminds me of his post today on the topic “If there were just four….” Betrand Russell says:

“The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.”

And humility would be the team they beat!:lol::lol:

Mercilessly, to an unrecognizable pulp.:D

In the interest of creating more tension, I ask this question: What if there was just one class in football? Who wins that? Highlands? X? A certain Coach Ditka?

Talk amongst yourselves.

That's where it gets a little complicated.

Highlands ... in the four-class setup, Boyle County was in the west bracket, but close to the line geographically. Lexington Catholic, now in the same district as Boyle, was on the Bluebirds' side of the bracket.

My guess ... Boyle, if they fed to the west. Otherwise, it's Lone Oak, John Hardin or Bowling Green.

Fort Campbell ... Somerset was Class A in the four-class setup, then elected to play up to 3A when the KHSAA went to six classes. Something tells me they would still be in Class A in a four-class arrangement.

DeSales? Depends on geography? The Louisville area fed into the west in 2006.

That leaves us with the usual mountain suspects (Corbin, Prestonsburg, Sheldon Clark, Belfry, Breathitt County) and Mason County. This year, that was probably either Prestonsburg, Sheldon Clark or Breathitt.

Mercilessly, to an unrecognizable pulp.:D

LO's one of the smallest 4A schools. They might be 2A under the old system.

LO's one of the smallest 4A schools. They might be 2A under the old system.
Why would they?

It seems pretty obvious that the cutoff between 3A and 4A in the six-class system would probably be the 2A-3A cutoff in the four-class format.

Well......I guess all of this begs the question. What classes would the teams be aligned in? I looked for the thread from last year, but couldn't find it.

I know that there are plenty of high schools in Kentucky.....so I'm not expecting someone to realign all of them.

How about this:

Can someone take the final Top 10 BGP Rankings for each class and place them in the following classes:

1A | 2A | 3A | 4A

Just wondering.

Later.

LO's one of the smallest 4A schools. They might be 2A under the old system.

In which case they'd exit to Fort Campbell.
