Steve Cooley, varsity football coach at Jeffersonville High School, resigned effective Friday.

Will Male go within or go after Higgins?

Why would they "Go After" Higgins? Seems to me he has underachieved at Fern Creek.

he has had a winning record all 3 years and came in second in district 2 of 3. He was at Male back in the day with redmon and Ted Boehm is the principal at Male and he hired him at FC. May not happen but may.. ......:ylsuper:

First time in school history (besides during the Gibson era, 8 consecutive years) that they have had 3 consecutive winning seasons. Took over a program that won only 25 games from 2000 to 2006 and has won 22 in 3 years. Only 3 coaches in the school history have won more games. If Higgins comes back for a 4th season, he will most likely become the third winningest coach in school history behind Wally Oyler and Russ Gibson. Sounds like Fern Creek has underacheived for over 80 years, except during Gibson's era.

Is Boehm going to be the principal next school year? Or is he just a temp?

 

And there's no way Bob Redman will let anyone, even his principal, tell him who is going to play QB on his team. So Jeff. looks more of a fit than Manual.

Actually the Tigers had 4 consecutive winning seasons from 1958-1961 (6-3, 5-3-1, 7-2 and 7-2-1). Kenny Arnold coaching the 1st two and good ol' Earl Browning the second two. Also Wally Oyler had a 3 year stretch (9-3, 6-4 and 7-3) from 1978-1980.

 

But we see where you're coming from.

You're right on, no way I can see that. Bob Redman will not want to take a job as HP (Head Puppet) at Manual, as he shouldn't!!

Supposedly waiting on numbers to be put on a contract. Whether the numbers that end up on the contract are acceptable will determine the outcome of this situation.

Jeff has some nice tradition in basketball from what I've heard since I've been living here. It's also evidenced on the walls of the Nachand Fieldhouse. I'm not sure about their football tradition though.

I hear that the "Natives" are getting restless in Jeff! I can imagine that huge question markhanging over a program that needs to start heading in a direction very soon. Parents and boosters are getting unnerved by the delay in getting "something" done, soon. This has been dragging on for some time and some wonder whether this is going to turn out best for the kids or not.
