Toss-up between Chad and Carson.

I think it is Chad right now just because he gets so much more camera time.

Edited by HammerTime

I think in this area it is Palmer if you ask people. However if you ask people across the nation they will say Chad, just because as HT said he is always on tv.

I have been traveling the country the past few weeks: Maryland, Wisconsin, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Texas.

They definitely think that Chad is by far the face of the franchise.

Nationally, it is Chad. He has so many publicity stunts. He's all over, including Letterman. Carson is too reserved to be the face of the franchise. Right or wrong, he's no longer mentioned in the same breath as a lot of the elite QB's.

The true face of the franchise is Carson. He's the leader & he's also the most crucial part of the team. If you want proof, just look at last year. Carson goes down and the Bengals go 4-11-1.

Cedric Benson is an interesting option. He's having a great year, but he hasn't been around long enough. Ultimately, he may become the poster boy for what the Cincinnati Bengals seem to have become - which is the land of 2nd opportunities. It began with Odell Thurman & Chris Henry, but nobody has taken advantage of it like Cedric Benson. Ironically, another talented RB's 2nd opportunity may very well run CB32 out of town.

If you say anyone but Chad you're lying to yourself.

Or you just pay close attention to the Bengals.

Disagree. You're just believing what you want to believe. Facts are facts: Chad Johnson is the face of that team, and has been since he first started doing his stunts and dances.

Being the face of the team does not mean the same thing as being the leader, and CP wins that hands-down.

Mike Brown?

I think Carson Palmer has become the face of the franchise these past few years to local Bengal fans. Everyone knows that our success hinges on Palmer's arm / knee. He's the franchise player.

Nationally, it is a different story.

It may be a different story nationally, but it's the story that matters. Bengals fans want to think of CP as the face of the franchise because they're embarrassed by Chad.

Is there anything else that we Bengals fans think? :idunno:
