Forde makes me laugh. I guess he knows a lot about stepping stone programs down there in Louisville. It is funny though to take a look at the ties of the media members begging BK to go to ND. The only name any of them have harped on (over and over and over) for the last 3 weeks is BK. Others have mentioned him as an option and also discussed other possibilities. The difference in opinion is obvious...

You seem pretty confident that BK isn't leaving for ND. What type of job do you think he would leave for if not Notre Dame? And, do you think he would take the job if offered? That seems to be the misconception a lot of people may have, does ND want him.

At this point, I think BK is more likely to go to a different school than ND this year.

If they get a guy like Meyer or Stoops, I could see Kelly being a serious canidate for either job.

I think he would likely take the job if the offer was what he wanted, and it likely would be as he doesn't yet have the clout to demand what a Stoops/Meyer type would insist on. That said it is highly unlikely ND ever makes him an offer, much less grant him even an interview at this point...

Florida would be a lot more likely than Oklahoma IMO, although I do think both would have him on the short list...

I think that's obviously a good thing. The Big East needs to keep some of this big time coaches if they are ever going to get any national respect. It hurt the conference when Petrino and Rich Rod bailed like they did. Luckily, UC hired Kelley and they improved. If not, the conference would be in bad shape on a national scale.

 

Schiano probably should of took bigger job when he could've, they haven't progressed like everyone anticipated they would. Still he has made Rutgers competetive, and that's saying something. Edsall is a class act and great coach, but unless you are football junkie chances are you've never heard of him.
