November 30, 200916 yr Why do they not have a website for this league?? Seems crazy to me.. My first instince is the time commitment. I am sure the league coordinators will let you volunteer the time necessary to handle all the phone calls/emails that you would have to get 3-4 nights a week and consistently update the website with such information as well as the constant changing of schedules for 16-18 schools that goes on. I am sure during the day the league coordinators have daytime jobs to do while spending the evenings in practice or at games. Let's say 18 schools in the league means 18 school matchups a night. (Remember the girls are playing too.) 3 games a night (6th, 7th, 8th) would mean approximately 54 games PER NIGHT. Our schedule is 3 nights a week. That means 162 games PER WEEK!!!! That would be a major time commitment.

I just think it would be a matter of writing an application and having each school have an administrator to report scores. Do we not have high school students looking for computer class projects. The technology exists.

The technology exists. You volunteering to put it together? I would guess that most MS administrators are on some sort of rotation basis. Meaning the same ones are not there every single night. And at the end of the night, they have been in that building since 7:30 AM or so and are trying to get the building shut down and go home to spend a few minutes with their family. Also, I think the reporting of scores and the like is more for the parents than it is the kids.

Someone going to receive 54 phone calls a night? Honestly, I have no care if my scores are called in or not. So I might just not do it.

Aren't the scores reported to someone currently? Someone has to be keeping track of the scores and standings for this league. I am sure there is a spreadsheet that exists somewhere that has this information. Just need to find out who, and get the information from them. Seems simple to me.

At the END of the season, the school has to report the scores of each league game throughout the season to someone at each grade level and for girls/boys.
December 1, 200916 yr 6th grade Ockerman over Campbell by 13. 7th grade Ockerman over Campbell by a lot, another no contest. Ockerman swept Campbell beating the 8th grade by 8.
