I guess Judy's Castle and Mary's are long gone, considering it's been 34 years.

 

I'm pretty sure Judy's Castle is still open. I've never eaten there, but I drive by it fairly often.

Another option worth checking out, if you get hungry on your way into town is Mama Helen's in Smiths Grove. If coming on I65 from the north to Bowling Green it about 15 to 20 miles from the stadium. It's your basic meat and 3. They usually have about 4 or 5 choices of meat, several vegies, choice of fresh made bread, and desert. It's about $8.00 and you will not leave hungry.

If I'm not mistaken, BG is also the furthest south you can find White Castle (or is it furthest north you can find Krystal?). Or maybe that was the case at one time.

 

Krystal was as far north as Georgetown a couple of years ago, but most of the Krystal places along I-75 have dried up. I think London still has one. Danville had one a few years back, but I think that also died off.

Is Arnold's Fried Chicken closed? Remember eating there in the mid-'80's.

What about Godfather's pizza? Is there still a Godfather's in BG?

I think you are correct about Krystal, but I know there are White Castles in Nashville, not sure how much farther south they may be though.

Last year after the Boyle / Warren Central game I stopped at one on Scottsville Road.

Albany's Steakhouse--- On Campbell Lane, right across the road from Bowling Green Jr. High. Get the Spicy Chicken Platter. Best in town. Has Rafferty's food for below Rafferty's price. (5-6 minutes away from stadium)

 

Double Dogs-- Scottsville Road. Sports Bar. The Double Bacon Cheeseburger is huge. (Across town, but it's on the closest side of the stadium on Scottsville Road)

 

Smoky Pig--- Corvette exit. Head into Bowling Green. Will be on your left. Get the Shoulder plate. If you are a man, ask for it to be "dipped". (Hit this place up before you come to the game. If you are into tailgating, they will have plenty of BBQ, sauce, white bread, sides, but the shoulder is unreal!!!:thumb:

I ate at a White Castle in the Bahamas just off a cruise ship when I was much younger!!! That's pretty far south.

Good Stuff. Probably the best bacon cheeseburger I've ever had.

Its a shame Mary's isn't still open, I use to eat their 4 or 5 times a week back in the late 70s. It was good ole home cooking. Does anyone know whatever happen to Mary or when it closed? Double Dogs is one of my favorite places now for burgers. I also like the sushi at the Japanese place on 31W.

Glasgow used to have both, but when the White Castle opened the Krystal didn't last long.
