November 29, 200916 yr So while leading 21-7 with under a minute to go, USC decides to sit on the ball and just go with the kneel. Apparently, UCLA was still playing to win although just a mere :50 remained. So, the Bruins called a timeout. And just to make a point that they should have just let time run out, USC went play action and threw a deep ball to make it 28-7... Is that bad sportsmanship? And if so, who started it?
November 29, 200916 yr No reason for UCLA to call a timeout. IMO, USC had every right to score after that.

November 29, 200916 yr Its a pure Neuheisel and Carroll thing. Neuheisel came in a couple years ago and said that there was a new Sheriff in town. Carroll takes every opportunity to rip that badge out of his bare flesh. Neuhesiel handed him that chance last night, and has noone but himself to blame.

If you call a timeout to extend the game, then you deserve what you get...

November 30, 200916 yr "He called timeout, nothing wrong with that, just compete," Carroll said of Neuheisel. "Then the play came up on the headset and I thought, great freaking call." Hilarious.
