UH... What rain are you speaking of? Don't know where you are, but no rain here. No rain in over a week. The field will be just fine. That field is no worse than anyone else's field this time of year. It will be a fast track for both teams. Should be a great game.

If you go look at Southwestern's field there is still grass out there, and if there hasnt been any rain in over a week then why is the visitors sideline soaked with water and very muddy?

A water leak in the sprinkler system was found earlier in the week. But, no rain has fallen on the field. The visitors side from the 30 yard line in is pretty soft because of the water line leak. If you think that is the worst you have ever seen, you sure don't get out much. Keep believing the field was muddy because PC was scared of SW's speed. That is fine with the Maroons. Since PC's field is sooo bad maybe they can use SW's. It's not being used for a while.

Both have been successfull after some early stumbles but now are playing well, do you do what got you there or tweak it just to shake up the defense.

 

Same question for the pundits on the defensive side of the football...

OK, if Pulaski or Hines wants RESPECT, then why not schedule some big boys. Yeah I know Rock is a big boy, but had a down year. You had to play Somerset because of the bowl or I am sure you wouldn't have. Yet you play North Laurel, Russell Co, Barren Co, and East Jessamine. None of which is anywhere near a powerhouse. Why not go jump on a Bell, Corbin, Belfry, Lex. Cath, Scott Co.

The sad thing is Rock should have won and would have if we hadn't tried to rest our players. But we DIDNT. We have never backed down from a tough schedule. Asa matter of fact some of my buddies were talking at the football game and we don't recall Pulaski ever playing Rock when we were good in the mid 90s up until last year. Guess you were afraid of losing so you go schedule teams like the above mentioned. No offense to them,and actually 2 of them beat you and one more should have in East Jess.

If you want respect,go play some big boys. Be a contender and not a pretender. RESPECT for a 1 time Dist Championship, no way. And please act like you have been there before.

You are way off base here. His disrespect was from most everybody picking Perry Central to win. Granted, Pulaski played bad in a couple of losses. But, they did win their District. The District was a little down this year, but, that is not Pulaski's fault.

FACT PC went to Rock and put 47 points up on them(with a "backup" Quarterback) Who, by the way, lit Rock up!!!!! FACT Rock could not stop Pulaski and it is absolutely killing jericho! He can only bash and degrade a very good team that beat his team!

As far as scheduling Belfry and Bell; Belfry is over 4 hours away from Pulaski. Who would schedule a regular season, non-district game that far away? Bell, a little closer, but still a looong way to travel for a regular season, non-district game. Don't know how your school system works, but Coach Hines would never be aloud to schedule non-district games that far away. I don't think there is a school anywhere in this state that would pay for a team to travel 4 hours away from home to play a game that doesn't mean anything.

Pulaski has battled back from several injuries to become the best team in school history. Several dumped dirt on them early on, but PC bowed up and proved everyone wrong! No matter what happens Friday night these kids have fought their hearts out this year and deserve the respect of a District Champion! They have been slapped in the face over and over!

(weak schedule, weak district...) Seems to me a team is good(Rock), until they get beat by PC, then it's "well, it's a down year"... Now, I see see why Coach Hines and the Maroons have a chip on their shoulder.

Here's an idea. Let's get back on track and talk about the Whitley/Pulaski matchup on Friday. Here's hoping for good weather, good food, some great football with no injuries. :isurrender:

IMO 08 was better. But 09 is still pretty good just inconsistent.

Whitley is a very good team, but so is Pulaski. Whitley was 10-1 last season when Pulaski made the trip over to Williamsburg to play the Colonels. Whitley jumped out to an early 21-0 lead only to see Pulaski come back to take the lead late in the game. Whitley fumbled the ball (which Pulaski recovered) only to get it back on an inadvertent whistle. Pulaski would have had the ball on the 25 yard line going in with a touchdown lead in the fourth quarter. With that being said Whitley did what it is supposed to do and took the ball and scored to win the game. My point is this year Whitley travels to Pulaski to play a team that has not lost a home game since September 2006. After starting 0-2 Pulaski has won 8 of its 9 games.Whitley will not go over there and win easy!

FACT. PC didnt have a back up at QB when they played Rock.. He had been a starter ever since week 2. A very good QB I might add.

 

Bell Co. at most 1.5 hours away, not bad , on good roads

Boyle pretty much next door

Danville pretty much next door

Corbin very close, I guess less than an hour

 

 

Barren Co 1hr 15min

E. Jessamine 1hr 20min

This shows Hines is willing to travel. But yet he isnt allowed to go to Bell, Corbin

Go on to Fayette Co. Play some Lexington schools, stop by Madison Central too. Heck if you are going to Mercer, go on to Anderson Co. WAIT, these schools are all pretty good.

 

Well I will also say I hope no one gets hurt and the fans see a great game. I also know PC is a very good team. Whitley better be ready. So with that said, to get respect you have to earn it and IMO PC hasnt done anything to earn it.

 

The game is a toss up.

Whitley can run great.

PC can throw good.

Why is there always a leak in the sprinkler system when a big game comes around? That leak on the visitors sideline has been there for like 3 years. I find it quite funny
