Johnson Central 62 Scott 41

Featured Replies

After looking it up Sowder is the first Scott player to rush for 2000 yards. Poland had 1800.

Woodford Co. is in the game with Cov. Cath. at the half. If Johnson Central gets by Cov. Cath. next week, which now is certainly in doubt, they will have a very, very, long night in Ft. Thomas.

Russel Poland had over 2000 yds

Nice game for Scott but its going to be rough next year after lossing 20 seniors. Sowder is a great player and he will play at the next level if he choses to.

Just like they were going to get humiliated at home against the birds last year? I think that's what most people were saying and I seem to remember a great effort by JC. Just like they were done after their 0-4 start? I believe they won the district? Just like they had NO chance against Ashland this year? Beat'em. Just like they would never beat Belfry because they never have before? Beat'em.

The only problem with all these predictions about Johnson Central is that this team just don't care and refuses to do what everyone thinks they should do.

Do I personally think they can beat Highlands? Well let's just say If they both get that far I hope everyone keeps telling them they have no chance to win.

I have a great deal of respect for Johnson Central but I can not see them keeping a rematch from last year with the birds close. Sorry Jude.....

What the heck!!!:irked:

Maybe, maybe not...but it means they earned the state Semi game !! That alone would automatically mean they're one of of only 4 surviving teams in 5A. Not bad for a team that began 0-4.

You see...Johnson Central, if the winning continues, will have NOTHING to lose in Ft. Thomas. It will already have been a great season for them. That kind of setup usually makes for a dangerous ball club.

Either way, I'm not sure why you feel the need to throw cold water on the JC Eagles ?!?

You sure about that?

Surely you don't mean that. Johnson Central is looking for a State Championship and anything less would be a disappointment. Unless that's just the thought process there.

You sure about that?

Completely...

I know you're implying I'm making a cut at CovCath, but my statement was predicated by the quote: "If Johnson Central gets by Cov. Cath. next week...".

Go back and check it yourself. And...don't stir the pot, please.

Yes, I mean that. Central began 0-4 and many (even some of their fans) jumped off the bandwagon they've built over the last few years.

While the "goal" is a Title and the team will play hard and loose to get it, it's certain they'll have enough perspective this season to appreciate its ultimate success - to whatever point that leads.

Do you REALLY believe a successful football season can only be attained with a State Title ?!?

Completely...

Stir the pot? Cut at CovCath? I'm not sure how you got that from my post. I only meant that if Johnson Central and Highlands do play, it will be in the quarterfinals (round of 8), not the semifinals (round of 4).

You sure about that?

This is exactly what I was thinking. Someone is 1 game ahead of himself...I knew what he meant though!!!!:thumb:

GO COLONELS!!!Ouch!

What's wrong with you.....You don't want Johnson Central to have a chance to come to one of the most historic places to play High School Football. We wouldn't want Coach Matney to miss out of the "DCM". How did it go in 2006 after CovCath beat JC. We can't compete with all of the "Privates" from up in Northern Kentucky..... If providing Highlands and JC take care of business this week, he will get his chance to see how the "Privates" are spending their money.....
