Johnson Central 62 Scott 41

What's wrong with you.....You don't want Johnson Central to have a chance to come to one of the most historic places to play High School Football. We wouldn't want Coach Matney to miss out of the "DCM". How did it go in 2006 after CovCath beat JC. We can't compete with all of the "Privates" from up in Northern Kentucky..... If providing Highlands and JC take care of business this week, he will get his chance to see how the "Privates" are spending their money.....

OK you got me. LOL I didn't think anybody would catch it. Darn!

Guys lets remember this year was a rough year for the Eagles they really didn't do much. Sowder was definately the man for Scott this year and without him Scott is really a shambles. It will be rough for Scott next year for sure but they will have a nice turf field though. We as fans got to sit back and think they didn't improve much at all this year compared to last.

I think that Coach Campbell is a good Coach and possibly can turn it around but it will take at least 5 to 6 years because he is trying to build up the middle school program at Woodland. I do think however that his Assistant Coaches aren't very knowledgeable when it comes to football and he might need to think about more experienced replacements.

Just in case anyone is thinking that, assuming Highlands & JC meet up in a couple weeks, that Highlands would overlook JC or somehow not give them the respect they deserve due to their 0-4 start or the # of points they gave up to Scott....believe me, after last year's playoff game no one if Ft. Thomas is going to overlook JC. That was one heck of a football game!

What is sad is that the ones he needs to replace he wont.

Stir the pot? Cut at CovCath? I'm not sure how you got that from my post. I only meant that if Johnson Central and Highlands do play, it will be in the quarterfinals (round of 8), not the semifinals (round of 4).

oops... My bad. I AM one game ahead.

I thought you were implying I was "assuming" a Central win from before.

My apologies. :isurrender:

41-14 at the half, Johnson Central rests 1-2 starters on offense and 4-5 on defense in the second half. JC offense in the first half; no penalties, no fumbles, 13 plays, 6 TD's and @300 total yards. Great effort by Zach Sowders of Scott HS, very good back!

I think that JC beats CC by 2 scores. You cant look at what happened in the second half of the Scott game because JCHS played many of their replacements during that half. Any team in 5A with their number 1's in should have no problem scoring on another teams number 2. Its that simple.
