I'm shocked that Manual could score 50 and shocked they could give up 39. Weird.

Conner had 431 yards total offense.

 

West went over 1000 yards rushing for the year.

I need to double check stats but I had Conner with 566 yds total offense and Manual with 518. West was 28-51-3 for 447 yds, 4 Td a d rushed 18 times for 93 yds and 2 TD's.

Manual was led by Marcus Helms 22 carries for 142 and 1td, Percy Minor battled cramps and still ran 8 for 130, Darnell Gardner had 15 for 66 yds and 3 td's. Woodmore was 11-21-0 157 yards 1 td,and ran 11 for 23 a d 1 td

That Quarterback is one heck of a player, he can hurt you passing and running. I think Manual had a hard time stopping the pass because the majority of the teams they've faced all year were running teams. Good luck to the West kid, anybody know if he's going anywhere?

Wow, I really thought with the tough Defense Dupont brought into this game that it would be a score in the low 20's. This is amazing that they both went off like they did. Must have been a fun game to watch or listen to.

 

Nick West put up Dan Marino numbers and the kid can run with over 1000 rushing yards. Its too bad he has Miles Simpson in his Class and District because this kid would be POY anywhere else in the state.

It included two blocked field goals by Conner, three onside kick tries by Conner (and they recovered two of them), and a recurring battle of Manual going up by two plus TD's and "here comes West"...who led them down to quick scores several times. No excuses on Conner side - they got beat by a very physical team.

Maunual fans - thank you - you were great sportsman in unfamiliar field (played at Moore HS).....Conner...great season! Good luck to all the graduating seniors of CHS Cougars.

Wow... outstanding numbers and congratulations to Connor for a great year. I met Nick yesterday during a visit to WKU, he is a classy young man and I hope someone gives this kid a chance to play at the next level. It's obvious he has the passion for the game and gives it everything he has.:thumb:

Here's what I like about Nick West besides the obvious talent. I've never met him.

 

However, you can certainly get a feel for kids when you see them off of the field. I saw him on the sidelines of a freshman game earlier this year and you can just tell he's a good kid. I've seen other stud qbs off the field and , trust me, that's not always the case.
