Congrats to this kid. Big record to have. I read the article on him and how a lot of the college coaches said "if he was only taller" etc. That is bull crap. I see kids every single saturday playing for big time D-1 programs that have running backs that are 5-8, 5-9.

Thanks, I needed this. Mrs. Blutarsky's mom passed away this morning, & it's been kind of stressful today. We'll all miss her.

Bluto, I think that I can speak for all of our bgp/Raceland crew in that we consider you a good friend as well, you are all class my friend :thumb:.

I must say though we sometimes have to warn new Ram fan/ bgp members about you when they join and start posting. Sometimes they tend to get a little uneasy about talking to a crazy man wearing a toga :eek: :lol:.

Don't get too educational on us country folk. It may go right over our heads.:lol: It could be misconstrued as a challege.

I find it hard to believe too. In my opinion, the sad part is if he played for someone like Highlands, Trinity, or St X he would already be comitted somewhere by now. Of course if he was putting up the same numbers on the teams those schools play he would be "proving himself" better. This is one of those kids you hear about who doesn't get picked up and walks on and becomes a 3 year starter!

I disagree with your premise unless you're saying it would be because you believe those teams play a tougher schedule. If your premise is based simply on exposure I would disagree and I'd use the back from Breathitt County as my supporting evidence.

I have to agree with you on this one. Breathitt County is not a school with a lot of media coverage or exposure, but yet Fugate is committed to Tenn. So sometimes a kid playing on a Highlands, X, T will get looked at sooner or more often, sometimes it is not the case. Its a mystery to me!:scared:

Correct. Tennessee found a kid in Jackson but can't see a kid in Lexington?

I know. Its weird. Although, I do know that the Fugate kid went to camp at Tenn this summer and that is where he was offered. A lot of times the only way a team sees kids like these is that they go to their camp. I am sure Hayden has went to some, but maybe not.

The D1 schools probably see him as a fullback and there aren't many scholarships for fullbacks. A lot of D1 teams have no or very limited use for a fullback. The schools below D1 are all probably waiting because they are convinced the kid will end up at a D1 somewhere. That's my best guess. I am like you on this one....:idunno:

A lot of times the big schools will wait to see if they can get something for nothing. They may have someone back out @ the last minute & offer as well.

I guess I kinda contradicted myself in my post. I posted something then answered my own question. I still think if he was putting up these numbers at one of the bigger schools he be noticed more. Bieng a small school in a big city has to make it tough. Bluto do you know what the coaching staff or family has done thus far? Have they visited any camps or sent out any highlight videos? Maybe it's like someone posted above that some schools are holding out for hopes of a freebie. I think he should definately look at someone like Marshall.
